Cayucos Coffee — Restaurant in Cayucos

This was my first time visiting and usually I won't try an espresso drink at a new coffee shop till I know what their bean inventory tends to be like. So I ordered a Drip coffee and a cinnamon roll. Though the cinnamon roll was room temp vs warm like I was hoping for, the flavor of the icing, cinnamon spread and flakey soft texture of the dough had me totally distracted from the temperature and I found myself willfully wolfing it down. Though their medium bright blend was a little strong for me I found that their organic and plentiful array of dressings for your coffee make the experience much more pleasureable. This coffee was a gem of a find. It is located on Ocean Ave which was a walking distance from our lodging. There is free on the street parking with handicap access. It has a warm cozy relaxed atmosphere. There are indoor snd outdoor seating. The servers Bernice and Jenna were great; friendly, patient and efficient. Their caramel macchiato was excellent with an added artistic heart foam topping. I loved it! It tasted much better than the popular franchise coffee. My hubby enjoyed the capuccino, white mocha and caramel macchiato. All the pastries looked yummy. The lemon blueberry muffin, cinnamon bun and pumpkin spiced scone were delicious. These types of coffee and brew houses are almost impossible to find if you live in a metro area. The staff was friendly and made you feel as if you lived in the area.

I knew that trying to go to a Starbucks that was over a 10 minute drive away when this one was right around the corner from the hotel that we staying at would not be logical.
