The server Maddie was not very helpful at all. She was not friendly or inviting. Instead she responded when spoken to while not being helpful or even giving an initial greeting. I got into the store at 7:20pm. The store closes at 8pm. From 7:20-7:34 I went back and forth with trying to decide what to buy. I planned to purchase a cake for a family member’s birthday in a different state so I wanted to test a few flavors first before ordering online. I asked questions regarding the bundtinis such as the quantities they come in and if all listed flavors were available to be purchased as bundtinis. While I was deciding my friend placed an order for 2 bundtlets while I continued thinking on what I wanted. At 7:34pm when I go to order Maddie then lets me know they stopped selling customs orders for the bundtinis at 7:30p and I could instead select one or the preselected packages. It would have been nice to know this information before the cut off time and not after. Especially when I expressed interest in getting a custom selection of flavors before 7:30. I’m not sure if Maddie was not having a good day, if it was a micro aggression towards me, or if she was simply not interested but whatever the case- it was enough for me to not visit this location again...

When we got there a few minutes before our scheduled pickup window, we were told that they were out of some crucial ingredients for one of the cakes we had ordered and then offered no restitution. They even refused a refund, claiming they couldn't process it without a manager present. After much frustrating back-and-forth, even being forced to hold up the line in order to force employees to provide customer service, we were provided the cake she originally ordered (by a manager), long after the pickup window. It's quite frustrating dealing with employees who not only fail to provide decent service, but lie directly to customer's faces about what they have available and whether a manager is present. When we left we witnessed an employee trying to tell a customer that they were wrong about the type of cake they ordered, even though the customer clearly was reading the order confirmation email off her phone. Read moreI was disappointed and surprised by the quality of the bundtlets I purchased at this Cedar Park location, particularly as I have had positive experiences at all the other NBC locations in this area. The bundlets I purchased at Cedar Park were clearly old, not fresh. For example, one bundtlet had an older, tattered label with the cake pressed at an angle against one side of the container as if the container had been dropped. Another bundtlet had a newer label pasted on top of an older, also tattered label. I received both bundtlets ice cold as if they had been frozen (even though it was the middle of the afternoon when I purchased them). They also tasted a bit stale. I threw them out. I understand that there may be leftover inventory that can be sold another day. No one wants to waste food.
