Wonderful staff: Everyone was friendly and helpful. Food was delicious, as was the tea and lemonade bar! We made multiple custom mixes for the fanciest Arnold Palmers ever. I learned that my 4yo will happily steal all the salmon from my salad, along with most of my salad. Dining area was open, bright, and well maintained. The only thing keeping this from a 5 star review was the bathroom situation. We visited during lunch rush so there were plenty of others dining there. Unfortunately there are only two single stall restrooms, with a tiny anteroom between them and the dining area. If you wait outside this itty-bitty room, you are standing directly in the aisle just feet away from people in booths enjoying their meals. When I took my preschooler to pee, the "ladies" room was occupied and so we got into "line" in the anteroom with a lovely pregnant woman. 2 adults, one small child, and one on the way, all waiting at the same time means there was just enough room for the guest in the "ladies" room to squeeze out so some of us could go in. The "mens" room was vacant, but presumably off limits. Multiple other female patrons (and one staff member) popped their heads into the closet-like waiting space, and then popped back out as there was no room for them to wait with us. It was like playing sardines, only with less general hilarity and more anxious, awkward dancing. If both bathrooms are single stall, there is NO NEED for them to be gendered. Changing the signage so that both stalls are accessible to all patrons would greatly cut down on the wait time, and the claustrophobia, of needing to use the facilities. I would definitely recommend Salata for take out because the food, beverages, and staff were all great. If it's a busy hour though, and you have small kids with you (or just a small bladder yourself) I recommend eating elsewhere in the center because otherwise you might be a few glasses of delicious tea and/or lemonade from a very...
Read moreEdit to add: I went to this location again after a while of not going and I was in line when I heard the manager threaten to fire the cashier. He said a joke about something being a fireable offense and since it was her first mistake she would lot be fired. The first time could’ve been a fluke but if you manager is joking about this and I’ve heard him twice I can’t imagine how old these “jokes” must get to the staff. Why would anyone want to come to work where even jokingly they are told their job is on the line in front of customers.
I love this Salata location! The ingredients are always fresh and delicious. But I can’t stop thinking about the display I saw last night when I stopped in to pick up dinner. There was a female employee helping me and while I was checking out with the male manager I overheard the employee telling him that she forgot to clock in after lunch so could he adjust her time. They were not busy at that very moment but the she had to refill a lot of the ingredients while helping me so they must have had a rush before I came. The male manager replied, while wrapping up my salad, that he didn’t have to change her time but since he was such a nice guy that he would. I hope the owners of this establishment know that labor laws REQUIRE you to pay your employees for their time and not to be nice but bc it’s the law. I was disgusted that this person used his position to joke about not paying this hardworking employee for her time. Makes me never want to visit this or any location in the future. Please inform your managers about general labor laws and requirements. I can’t see how that’s not covered as part...
Read moreI was picking up an order for a friend and an order for myself. My friend texted my her order, ( mind you I HAVE NEVER BEEN HERE BEFORE) when ordering a short blond girl (approximate age of 16-20) behind the counter was super sarcastic and rude and asked me if i could "Order correctly" because the items my friend had asked for were out of order. I apologized and tried to figure out in what order to order them in. She then told me to take a step back and she would "Help me" when i figured out how to order and started assisting the customer behind me. Extremely frustrated at this point. Finally get the ability to order, and when I ask for anything extra she gives me what might as well been 1/4 of the little scoop they used to give out normal portions. Overall super rude, super hostile, I felt uncomfortable and wont be returning there again. Salads were mediocre at best, I paid 12$ for a crab salad, which was no where near filling ( despite getting a lot of veggies including romaine and spinach) the bowl was less then half full and you get a dried lump of bread (its free so its not that big of a deal) Honestly overpriced and horrible customer service. If you have a lot of money, like a variety of stuff for your salads, and don't mind the horrible customer service I would recommend this place for you but other then that you'd be better off going literally...
