I had heard great things about this place but had a horrible experience. We made Mother’s Day reservations and they had accidentally sat other groups at our spot so we had to wait 45 minutes just to be seated, and they kept saying “five more minutes.” Waiting for that long with a 2.5 year old when they don’t have a waiting space and it’s cold outside is really difficult.
Service was rough, our waitress was visibly stressed. Food took awhile, we didn’t get refills on drinks. My brunch entree came with hash browns that were over cooked and burnt. I asked for new hash browns and the waitress admitted they ran out 20 minutes prior— so it was clear I got whatever was left on the grill. They were inedible. They offered a replacement side, which was fine.
We waited an additional 30 minutes for our check while we were ignored by the waitress. When we finally got our check there were no comps or discounts, which had been promised. By that point we were running late to our next gathering and had spent over two hours for a subpar meal. Try doing that with a 2.5 year old.
Another small thing that was annoying was that there aren’t changing tables in the men’s restroom, only women’s. The whole experience was so stressful and not a nice Mother’s Day brunch like we had hoped. I highly doubt we’ll be...
Read moreWe took our niece out and she picked this place. It was a good choice. We were asked if we wanted to eat inside or outside. I think the only outside tables were out front and totally in the sun. Glad we ate inside. I'm not sure what the decorating vibe is. The carpet was a giraffe print and the wallpaper looked like the Matrix. There were some vintage looking French prints on the wall. Regardless, the service and food was good. We tried the cheese curds (kind of pedestrian), the Brussels sprouts (huge and delicious), the smashburgers (doubles and stacked high), the waffle fries (perfectly fried), and a salad. Let me tell you about that salad. It had sliced strawberries, picked shaved rhubarb, dried apricots cherry tomatoes and burrata on top of a lettuce mix. Luckily, our server questioned whether or not the dressing had been tossed with the salad (new person in the kitchen, she said) so she brought me the strawberry vinaigrette on the side. (She was correct, there was no dressing.) Totally appreciated that attention to detail. Best salad I've had in a while! I...
Read moreVery little on popular bear types didn't have Heineken, Sam Adam's, medealo. Menu was small and several things they were out of also kinda of pricey. Only went here because we went to shoe shop next door and being out of state made sense. Not gonna say ya or nay it's your preference and budget. To me personally I liked my server but didn't like him saying we don't have this or that several times and for a nice atmosphere you did pay the price! Got a respectful comment back and I like to edit. Maybe it was a off day or someone didn't show up idk iv only been there once and call it like I see it. Still no budge on not having popular beers even if in a bottle. No one expects a small bar to have 50 beers on tap. Food took a long time when bar was not packed and been to over 1700 restaurants in Europe and US some really fancy some just local but taste vs price was not spot on this day. Still a fair review and it is a nice place and wouldn't rule out a second run if back...
