My husband and I roadtrip to Amy's twice a year. We drive about 220 miles for Amy's Carmel apples. Amy's Carmel apples are the best, hands down!! The smell of the store is amazing also! I wish I could capture the smell of the store to share like we share the apples with people at home. When we go to Amy's, we take orders from family and friends to make it worth the trip. Our last trip was on the 4th of July. The town of Cederberg was having a parade just in time that we came to town. We ended up walking all the way down the parade route to get to Amy's. There were tons of people watching the parade we had to get through. Amy's apples are worth the hassle. We ordered 20 apples, but checked out at different times so we didn't make anyone wait for us. We stepped aside many times to let people in front of us. Even though there was a parade outside, inside the store was not all that busy at that time. The young girl serving us was very rude to us! She stated the next time we come on a busy weekend we should call ahead with our order. We had no idea about the parade, remember were from 220 miles away. Our town doesn't celebrate the 4th of July. There were plenty of coworkers working that day and it's not like we wiped the clean of apples, they were filling the front window as fast as we were taking them! I feel the girls comment was...
Read moreI went to Cedarburg last week with girlfriends. We always stop at Amyâs to get apples. I purchase 8. I got home and there were 7 in my bag. My bad for not checking before I left. I called the store that same day when I got home to say I was there and was shorted an apple. I was told to come back in with my receipt. I told her I lived in Oshkosh and wouldnât be coming back. She put me on the phone with Megan. Iâm not sure who Megan is at the store but I will tell you she was rude and not apologetic, never apologizing once for their error. When I mentioned shipping the apple to me she laughed and said, âYeah thatâs not gonna happen. Do you know how much it would cost YOU to have us ship that to you?â I said, âActually it would cost YOU because it was your error.â Then she proceeded to tell me itâs a perishable item and they donât mail them. I asked didnât they in fact have an online store? She then said sheâd credit me the price - then asked for the order # on my bill and told me to send a picture of my apples to her email address. And at no time on the phone or on that email response did she say she was sorry for what happened. My bill for 8 apples was $100. Again - my bad for giving them a 20% tip on top of the crazy expensive apples and poor customer service....
Read moreI travel to Cedarburg about 2x/year. Knowing I was going, I was excited to get a cashew milk chocolate turtle apple. Went to Amyâs and ordered the apple along with 2 separate chocolate candies. The clerk asked me several times what kind of candies I wanted and what kind of apple. I thought to myself, how many times do I need to tell her. The following day I opened my apple box only to find it was not the apple that I ordered. I was so disappointed. It was a pecan apple. I called the customer service line and explained the situation to someone who said she only handles business orders and then asked me if I had the receipt and also asked if the apple was eaten. I did not have the receipt (but again I paid with a cc so they should be able to see my charge) and yes, my spouse ended up eating the apple (did the clerk want me to throw it out?). She then stated she would pass my concern on to the store and look for my cc purchase and that she would get back to me. This never happened and I was completely ghosted. Will not go back!!! Considering you charge $11 per apple, you should treat your...
