It all started perfect, my beloved girlfriend turned to me and said "i want panda express" my heart filled with excitement. We live in Cochran a solid hour drive so trips for panda are precious and sacred to us. Our first date was at this establishment. When we neared the restaurant 40 min before closing our hearts sank as we saw the inside was already closed. It wasn't when we exited our car, but as we walked up the man locked the door right before we could enter. Not dismayed we drove around and entered the drive thru line. It was a long and heroing line we had a pickup truck blasting music with his highbeams on behind us, but we would not fail on our quest to get orange chicken and beef and broccoli. Now that i got a sent when the door was closed my mouth began to water. I filled with anticipation craving the succulent chicken and beef. After waiting for over 30 minutes in the drive thru line it was our turn. I almost teared up with joy as i first mentioned i was hungry to her 2 hours prior. Being a gentleman i first ordered my beloved girlfriend her favorite dish, a plate with double orange chicken, i on the other hand like to spice things up and do a bigger plate with double orange chicken and a beef and broccoli. First i began to order my beef and broccoli and i am stopped, i couldn't believe what i was hearing, noooo i thought to myself as i found out they where out. Not to be to dismayed my favorite dish i could still surely aquire. The delecete delicious orange chicken my heart desires. When i say "fine just double orange chicken then" i am greated with a meteoritical knife threw the heart. I am told they only have enough for the first plate. I am starving my stomach is rumbling, i have driven over an hour one way, but i turn to my beloved and see the hope in her eyes, for she too adores the orange chicken. So i yield my meal and allow her to get hers. She presented the clerk (my) credit card, and recieved in return an immaculate plate of chow mein topped with incredibly juicy and succulent orange chicken. I pass it to my girlfriend as a single tear drops from my eye, she gets to eat this plate of perfection while i get to pay and drive. I will be going to sleep hungry and dissapointed tonight, but dreaming about a future where i will get to eat some...
Read moreI frequent this location a lot, however I have not been into the actual building. This review only pertains to my drive through experience
I have mixed feelings about this location. The food is usually really good, except for the noodles. They are dry and brittle every time. The orange chicken and seasame chicken are amazing. The orange chicken has a slight spiciness to it. I love the drink sizes. A large drink here is 42 ounces, its similar in size to movie theater larges. They are often out of many menu items.
The employees here are very friendly and helpful. I have never had a bad experience in that department.
One of my complaints is the wait time, and the awkward drive through location. I know times are tough and staff is hard to find, but there are times when the drive through doesnt move at all. The last time I was there, I sat for about 20 minutes in the same spot, just waiting. It happens frequently, so I have learned to give up after about 10 minutes. I can see people going in and out of the building with their food, so I think this is specifically an issue with the drive through.
Another issue with the drive through is the fact that once you are in it, you cant leave. There are bushes and curbs surrounding the drive through so you literally have to wait until you get to the window to leave. Its so bad. There was one time my boyfriend and I went. We waited in the line for what seemed like forever, and when we got to the speaker we found out they were pretty much out of everything. We were in a small car that couldnt hop curbs, so we were forced to wait about 30 minutes in the drive through before we could leave. We were starving the...
Read moreJust picked up an online order at this Panda and was highly disappointed with their customer service. My order was set to be ready for 3:10. I walked in at 3:11 and stood in line behind a woman checking out at the register. The employee did not acknowledge me once she finished and proceeded to walk back to the start of the line to begin another order. I told her I was there to pick up an online order and she asked for my name and then just said okay. I then waited as she made the meal for the next person in line and then ignored me as she came down to receive the money from the next customer. After she finished this she then went and made my meals. She did apologize and inform me she was the only one working the front, which I appreciate, but the manner in which she ignored me and didn't even begin my order until after the next individual did not sit well with me. What is the point of ordering online if the meal isnt even prepared until after everyone else in line has already been served...? My experience at Panda in Macon was much more pleasant and I plan to take all my service in the...
