Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Centerville

If I could give zero stars I would. Customer service is severely lacking at this location and everytime my boyfriend and I have been through the drive thru, each time we got awful service and the employees were ridiculously rude. I work in food service and have actually worked at a tropical smoothie myself, so I understand the process of the job and it’s honestly the easiest job I’ve ever had in my life. I’m not sure if the lady in the drive thru (her name was aneriban) was having a bad day or what was going on, but when I got to the window she was super rude and snatched my money out of my hand and proceeded to mock me right in front of my face to her other coworkers. I’m also pretty sure they put way too much sugar in our smoothies as well because I had a massive headache after drinking the smoothie and crashed super hard like I never have before and so did my boyfriend. Very concerning and very dangerous as well. They also made the smoothies wrong. I’m never one to leave bad reviews because I understand what it can do to a business, however this was the worst experience I’ve EVER had at any restaurant I’ve ever been at. Very poor customer service and you guys could do so much better. If you hate your job that much, then it’s very easy to quit and find a job somewhere you’re happy at rather than taking it out on the customers and people who give you your paycheck...

UPDATE-So the business replied to me saying to email and my "safety was their top concern" which I feel is not true. Fact is, I emailed them BEFORE I made this review and they didn't even bother to look! I have been going here every week for a couple months but I had a bad experience recently. Jaxon took my order at 7:42pm on 08/01/25 and he got my order messed up. I ordered fat burner in my smoothie and he repeated my order but he was talking very fast I only made out a B sound. I took a sip of my drink and it tasted off, turns out it had Vitamin b12. I am NOT allowed that because it has a deadly interaction with my medication! I told him about and he proceeded to get defensive and gaslight me. I told him "yes you did repeat my order but you talked so fast I could not understand what you was saying." I can not afford this kind of mix up again because had I not have noticed the off taste or looked at my sticker it would have sent me to...

This was my first visit to Tropical Smoothie Cafe as I went for lunch with 3 friends who had been there on prior days. I was pleasantly surprised with the number of smoothies from which to choose, plus finding out that any ingredient is able to added or subtracted per individual taste. They also have numerous wraps or salads; all very healthy options. I didn't order a Smoothie, but ordered a grilled chicken wrap, removing an item that I'm sensitive to and don't eat. The manager was very helpful with her recommendations including knowledge of ingredients that helped with some dietary limitations. She was very polite, yet personable. A great mixture of business-sense and nice customer service. The restaurant was very clean and comfortable; as we chose to eat in their dining room. It was a pleasant and delicious lunch together. We would go there again...
