This was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant let alone at a Bob Evans.
I ordered my food online through the Bob Evan’s website, paid my $30 for my food and get a receipt saying it’ll be ready at 12:45pm.
So I go to pick it up and they don’t have my order, they assume I’m at the wrong place and I show them the order and the address on the order and they essentially shrugged me off. Then someone else gets involved because I didn’t leave the restaurant and they can’t find my order in the system either and began shrugging me off as well. I paid for this, it came out of my bank account and I had that proof and they acted like I was the problem for not just leaving after they told me they didn’t have it. I again explained that I paid for it and ya know, wanted my food and they after 10 mins decided to take my order again. So I wait the additional time it takes to make my food, and I go home and it’s LITERALLY WRONG. She read the order straight off my online order receipt and I still was given the wrong food that I just ended up throwing away because it was gross.
I understand electronics and the internet are not always reliable but as a manager myself in the service industry it’s absolutely RIDICULOUS that your company was willing to steal money from me and then act like I was the jerk for patiently waiting to hear if anyone would even help me. At no point were they willing to offer to initially refund me before sending me out and like I said It took 10 mins for them to decide to even “make this right for me” which they didn’t even want to do, as they told me several times that they don’t have it and tried to shoo me away.
$30 has value to me as I work hard for it, and it’s apparent that your company/location does not have the returned value for...
Read moreMy son and I stopped in to the Bob Evans on Wilmington Pike in Centerville, last Sunday, as we have been doing for the past few months. We typically have a nice experience. On this particular day, our male server named "D", was clearly in a particularly rotten mood. We commented amongst ourselves just how nasty his attitude was. We might have been able to get through our meal as long as "D" did his job, but "D" decided to exacerbate the situation by purposefully carrying on a conversation with a guest across from us while our food sat in the window getting cold. That guest was not even seated in "D's" station. When I brought this to "D's" attention, instead of hurrying to the window to retrieve our food, he disappeared. Some minutes later he sauntered over to the window and decided to stand there reading the computer screen as if he didn't know whose food was in the window. The restaurant only had a few other patrons seated at the time. It was very clear his actions were deliberate and by this time, my son and I both had had enough of this nonsense. And for the first time in my adult life I/we walked out. But not before I offered to pay for our beverages. But given how visibly angry I was the two female employees at the front counter waived our drink charges.
"D" cost the restaurant two regular customers, who are also good tippers. Managed to get ZERO for his efforts, and hopefully after having to explain to management why two full meals were not paid for, management will deduct the amount from his next paycheck. Such a blatant display of unprofessionalism should be costly. Especially given what it has cost the restaurant, in revenue...
Read moreMy husband, daughter and I went to this location and walked out within 10 minutes, the lady sat us, went to get a sling for the carseat and said, "somebody will be with you soon". There were only 2 other tables in the entire restaurant and 2 people sitting at the counter at the time. We sat down and began looking at the menu, shortly two more families came in and were sat near us. Another minute goes by and still no one had been over to get us drinks or even acknowledge that we were there. Then a waitress walks by us and goes to one of the other tables that sat after us to get them started with drinks. I turned to my husband and said, "Really, if someone doesn't come over to us within 30 seconds, I'm walking out!" The waitress walked away to get the other tables' drinks and we still weren't even acknowledged. We sat there about another minute and I said, "I'm done!" And we walked out, too make matters worse not one employee noticed that we were walking out! I was a server at a few restaurants over the past 15 years and I would've been ashamed to have given anyone this poor customer service, I will NEVER step foot in that location again and would not recommend going there!! I totally understand that the are bad days but when there are less than 10 other customers in the entire restaurant and I can't even get one employee to acknowledge I'm there,...
