Brooklyn V's Pizza — Restaurant in Chandler

Let me start by saying I’ve eaten at a lot of pizza spots that offer slices and fully understand that the pies are usually premade and reheated as you order. That being said I am almost certain the slices my wife and I received for lunch today were not freshly made today and reheated when we ordered. The four slices we ordered tasted and looked identical to next day pizza that was reheated. The cheese looked liked it was solidified in a refrigerator and reheated, did not have any pull and had a bite similar to string cheese. I’ve had my fair share of next day pizza and I’d put money on it that this was in fact next day pizza. We were there 10 minutes after opening so we shouldn’t even had reheated pizza let alone next day pizza to be perfectly honest. Not only that when you order toppings they just sloppily throw them on top of the next day cheese pizza. The crust was hard as a rock and was tasteless. I know it’s not incredibly fair to judge a place by their single slices but with the quality of pizza I had today, I will never return. The only saving grace is the server, she was super friendly...

We use to frequent this restaurant but ever since Mike left to go to the location on alma school the Gilbert road location has gone downhill. We came in to get a couple of slices wings and knots our usual order and our server was awful. His name was Carson, there was one other employee working with him up front but whenever Carson wasn’t yelling at him he was just standing around on his phone. We understand that it’s later in the evening when we came in but there’s no excuse to not give everyone the same respect and service. When seated he just threw the menus on the table and left. We asked for plates and we were ignored. We asked for cheese and peppers and we’re given a cheese and a back turn. We had to get our own drink refills because the server was to busy talking to the cooks in the back. When the food was brought to us he just shoved it on the table. He seemed so bothered to be there. Overall our food was okay but the service was awful which is so disappointing since this was one of our go to places to...

This seems to have just been a bad order or one off experience because there are some really good elements to their pie.

Unfortunately, only a couple of slices were enjoyable. The pie must have shifted going into the oven because a couple slices had no crust.

I really enjoyed their dough & bake. Definitely reminds me of a more “east coast” pie. The biggest issue I had was all the grease. This made the eating experience pretty rough. Don’t get me wrong - fat adds flavor. But this pie was dripping & swimming in it. This also made it VERY difficult to just pick up a slice & eat.

My girlfriend grabbed one of the firmer slices and stopped after 1 bite because of the excess grease. We ordered a pepperoni pizza, so I’m assuming this was the culprit - albeit much worse than any other pepperoni pie I’ve had elsewhere.

I definitely plan to give this place another shot down the road. That being said, I’ll definitely be sampling other, new (to me) options before I circle back.
