With having a little over an hour for lunch as my boyfriend was on his lunch break from work and I came to visit, we thought we would go to Dennys. First, the waitress took our order without a pen and we asked if she would remember due to us ordering quite a bit. She said no, she would remember. We ordered the mozzarella sticks appetizer to share. I ordered the berry crepes with bananas and a side of toast. He ordered the chicken fried with country gravy as well as an Al la crate of the cream cheese berry french toast. Mozzarella sticks came fine. Our drinks came fine.
Then our food came. She forgot the bananas I ordered for my crepes which my boyfriend pointed out. And she forgot his French toast. He pointed that out and said that by the time this food came out and needing to wait again for it, he would already need to leave for work. She apologized but my boyfriend was pretty sad because that was what he was really excited about trying.
She then came and placed a drink on my side of the table and I grabbed it thinking it was mine only to realize it wasn’t and she came back around and was like “oh wait, this isn’t for your table”, then went and served it to the right table after I already touched it!
She passed us multiple times while we were sitting there just waiting for the receipt and a to go box and then she proceeded to go to the kitchen to put together the silverware as we waited. Finally 20 minutes later, she came and gave us the to go box and the receipt.
We expected he might be a little late from his lunch but it would have been nice if she had paid attention to the service she was giving and remembered our order. She seemed very scattered.
I thought i would try dennys again after the last time we were forgotten about for almost two hours and then got barely edible chicken fingers...
Read moreI love going to Denny's, but I will never want to come back to THIS Denny's ever again. When we walked in, we stood at the front waiting for a host to sit us and someone from the kitchen yelled to us to go ahead and set wherever we wanted. So we seated that ourselves. We waited for about 15 minutes for someone to get us our menus, after we seated ourselves. This is at 2:00 a.m. where there were only two other tables being served. After waiting so long I decided to go ahead and get our menus and utensils myself. We waited another 15 minutes for a server to come and take our order. My 4-year-old ordered a hot cocoa with a side of creamers, I ordered a water no ice with a side of lemon wedges, my son ordered a water as well. When we got our drinks, my little girl got served hot cocoa in a plastic cup of which she could not even hold, no creamer, I got ice in my glass and only one lemon wedge. Twice I asked for the side of lemons and I did not get any more than the one lemon wedge. I asked for the server to put the hot cocoa and something else, and he said "well what do I put it in?" Of which I replied "well in a coffee mug of course, something she can hold her hot in" when we ordered our food, of which the food was descently good, we had asked for the desert to come out together with our meals, we did not get our dessert until we were long ready to leave and get our check. Never once did the server come by to check on us. It's very unfortunate we got this kind of service, especially since we were coming in from out of state late that night on 8/3/2024. I did not get the name of the server since he was not...
Read moreThere wasn’t a long wait. Very clean. We were one of only three families in the dining area. Server was very pleasant. It took longer than expected for our food to arrive. The server brought our meals and disappeared until we were almost finished. When she asked if our food was good she was walking away before I could answer. A customer had asked for a to-go box and I used the opportunity to get her attention, needing to let her know that the salmon tasted dried up. It tasted stale and freezer burnt. The broccoli side was perfectly cooked, but cold. The small side of mashed potatoes and gravy were INCREDIBLE. I’d give them a perfect score! I strongly urge you to AVOID THE SALMON! My two young guest had the Chicken Fried Steak with eggs and hash browns. They were very pleased. I tasted it and agree that it was exceptional. At the register I shared my concerns about the salmon with the manager. He said, “I’m sorry about that. Our salmon hasn’t been very good lately.” Hmmmm while I appreciate the validation and honesty, I’m wondering why they continue serving it if they “know”. My guest had coffee and asked for a to-go cup. He had to ask them twice more before someone remembered. Maybe the staff were having a difficult day. As for the salmon, I should have insisted that the salmon be replaced with something else, so I’m partly to blame for my unhappiness. I’m still trying to find my voice and don’t like having to get confrontational. I’ll do it through reviews until I feel less awkward about it. Food has to be really bad for me to say...
