Out and about on one of our random adventures and decided or stop in and check out the first random local spot we came across. We noticed an outside patio with TV’s so we stopped to possibly check out some of March Madness. The location is easy to access from any direction so that that was great. Upon entering my first thought was man it’s dark in here. So dark I thought my old lady eyes wouldn’t even be able to read a menu. Luckily I succeeded without a flashlight this time. Second thought was do we seat ourselves or stand awkwardly at the door since there were no signs or employees to be seen besides the bartenders. And last but not least third thought was how loud it was. With music blaring and a group of pretty loud men who’d already had a few lol. I know this review is starting off pretty negative, but we decided to stay and give it a try. It is a sports bar kinda vibe so it definitely wasn’t going to be silent. We decided to pick a booth and see what happened. We found menus on the table and right away a waitress came over. That was good as she saw us before we saw her for sure. She was friendly, took our drink order and gave us time to look over the menu. She came back with our drinks. We ordered a beer on tap and some waters. When she came back I had chosen their green chili burger and a half order of nachos with ground beef. Then we waited. Service got a bit slower at this point, but she did come by and check on us a few times. Everything looked great when it came out. Good thing we ordered the half nachos because they were stacked up. I can’t imagine the size of a full plate. Fries were good. They were more shoestring than your larger ones elsewhere. My burger while ok and cooked to my request was a bit bland. I tasted more onions than green chili or anything else. A bit of a bummer but wasn’t horrible. All in all if you’ve come to drink this is definitely a popular local spot. Unfortunately no pics of the nachos because my group loves to dig in on purpose so I can’t ha ha . For me this go round it was more miss. If in the area again I’d give them another try.

Food is eeh, depends what you get. Mine was OK, my girlfriend got the Tater tots, eew super greasy. As far as service goes, Jolies is known for having bad customer service and the two bartenders on shift didn't disappoint one bit. With barely 10 people at the bar you'd think there would be no issue getting a drink. Well, you'd be way wrong. Between being ignored and the look of disgust when we FINALLY got their attention we made it a one and done beer and showed ourselves out. I'd like to think that this was a fluke and it'll be better next time but after a few years of going I've figured out two things: 1. Service remains bad 2. I won't be stopping at the neighborhood bar anymore Update 9/13/2023: Service is as bad as always and why in the world would you put Boondocks outside? They draw customers, the customer service sure doesn't.

I had heard about the green chili being really good here, so I stopped in to try it out. Actually ended up ordering the green chili chimichanga - it was awesome and huge. When I walked in I got a friendly greeting with a smile from the one of the bartenders and one of the waitstaff came right over once I was seated. This place is your typical hometown bar, with a decent menu selection for breakfast, lunch and dinner - plus the happy hour runs from 6am to 7pm daily. There is outside seating as well and pool tables inside. Great place to go for that hometown watering hole experience. Whenever I pass by Jolie’s Place is always busy - they must be doing something right!

I really love this place, but the service isn’t great. My son and I went in to have a few beers and some of their amazing food, however we sat for 10 mins and no one even acknowledged us. Not even a “we are short handed but I’ll be with you in a few.” We would have waited with zero issues, we had nothing going on. Gave them another shot recently, there were two bartenders, 6-8 people at the bar, so we assumed we wouldn’t have the same issue. I was in a work shirt, because I work right around the corner. BTW my coworkers also stopped going here because the service was so bad. You would think, if I have a work shirt on at 12 in the afternoon that would be a clue that I am here on my lunch break and maybe i only have an hour or so. We were asked for our drinks, my friend asked for a “medium beer” and I got a water. We finished looking at the menu and had to flag one of the 2 young ladies down to order, the food is amazing btw, never received or was offered a refill on my water, I drank it empty, had to flag one of them down again to get my check and a box, and the entire process was just a pain in the butt. I assume if you’re not a regular, and drinking alcohol, they don’t care to deal with you. I generally tip pretty heavy, 25%+ and all I ask is someone check on me at least once, fill my drink (when I’m not working I am a beer drinker), and make me feel like I’m welcome. My minimum is 15% and that’s what they got. Im guessing this is why business has died down there. I’ve worked around the corner since 2007 and we used to go here a LOT! Retirement parties, long lunches, after work beers with coworkers, now.. not so much. It’s sucks because I LOVE the food and the set up. Beer is always super cold and it’s so close for lunch and dinner. I hope it goes back to the way it used to be, where the service was great and you felt like they appreciated you there, like they wanted you to become a regular and you could feel comfortable. I know the pandemic has hit us all, however there were 2 bartenders at the not so crowded bar, mostly taking to the drinking customers, and not that busy. The two other females eating but also drinking were catered to very well. I know it’s a bar, but you serve food too, so if you want me to spend a ton of money on beer, you should maybe treat me well when I’m...

The blonde bartender, the customers and the live band were FANTASTIC! I went with a group of 7 last Friday and everyone had a blast dancing. The band was incredibly nice and played songs that set a perfect mood for fun and dancing. The bar patrons were all friendly and a few bought our table a round of drinks as my group was celebrating a very special occasion. My group did not order food as we came for the music and dancing. There is outside seating, decent parking and the restroom was well maintained and stocked.

The damper for the night was the male bartender that handled most of our orders. There was a bit of a wait but as I mentioned the patrons are all friendly people so the wait didn't seem long and the blond bartender was very kind and efficient(when we were able to be helped by her). My group of 7 came for dancing and throughout the night went through quite a bit of water as well as beer and cocktails. The last time we asked for more water for some people at our table the male bartender snapped at me stating that he's already given us plenty. There was a server coming to our table at first but I assumed she got busy and didn't mind walking to the bar for water or cocktails. He was short with me and said that if I brought back our empty cups he can just refill them but I had never heard of that and didn't think that was common due to Covid however, like I said I do not go out much. Up to that point he hadn't said much in general but he came off incredibly rude and it absolutely killed the mood at our table so we decided to leave rather then have to deal with his attitude any further.

Maybe he had an off night or was overwhelmed with orders but being that rude over something small he could have just explained to us ruined our original impression of what seemed to be a well liked establishment. For that reason I'd rather not return since there were other places in the area with overall...
