The Longhorn Steakhouse off the beltway is often our go to place to eat after church on Weds nights; however after tonight it will no longer be! We get there around 8:30 and we were greeted by a very friendly waitress named Jasmine. She seated us and started taking great care of of us. We let her know that we were expecting my two daughters to join shortly. Not wanting to hold up the kitchen staff we let her know we would order for them as they had been held up at church. We place a large order (as we always do, who can eat out with a family of 5 for less than a $100 these days) of appetizers, salads, steaks... at 9:02 the store manager Jerry locked the front door. We politely called him over and let him know our daughters had just pulled into the parking lot and asked if he could let them in. We explained that we had already ordered for them so there would be no née orders for the kitchen.
His response - “Sorry, it’s not my call it’s the company policy I can’t open the doors again once they are locked.” Now, there are people leaving the restaurant and the door is swinging open and my daughters are right there... hmmm... so we can’t just let them walk on to eat dinner with us? Jerry- I would be happy to cancel their order.
Now the only thing we had gutted at this point is our salad and appetizers. So, do you want to cancel our whole order or??? Jerry walks away and sends Jasmine over to face us...
Now, our food is still being cooked guys... there is no extra anything that needs to be done! But the girls can’t come in and sit with us even though there are people still opening the door.
My husband didn’t want to be rude by just walking out so he requested the whole order to go so we could bring it home and eat as a family.
Jerry - let’s consider that if you are the manager you should be able to deliver and stand by your words ... not run away and send the waitress to...
Read moreI just left and probably had the worst experience ever. And this was a do over, we got a gift card from the disaster that was our to go order. First, we got the brisket queso, and apparently they ran out of tortilla chips, so the sever told us they cut tortillas and these were deep fried a little longer then they should of been. The manager however, said they had to go shopping. That was taken off. We got the parmesean crusted chicken, with two sides and a signature side. I asked our server if it would be 2.99 if I added it as another side, she said yes, that was also wrong. Evidently it's $5.99. My mom got the same thing by the way. Mine was overcooked chicken, on the dry side and my moms was burnt at the top (the cheese.) My two daughters got the same thing; the kids sirloin medium well with fruit, my oldest had a medium/rare steak, still bleeding and my youngest had a very well done steak, barely able to cut through. The manager comes, says she's taking the appetizer off, and she'd give us a different one to go, she also said she'd re make everyone's food. It took a while, the girls steak came out better but it was hard to cut and me and my mom were already done with this experience, so we put ours in to go boxes... when the first check came, she charged my kids for their drinks even though it comes with one, so that got fixed and then no appetizer to go was offered, so I went to find the manager and ask for a discount. I mean, we didn't even eat our food. Our table didn't get cleaned. Our drinks had zero ice so we had to ask for it and they alone took her a while. She is pregnant, so she deserved Grace but it just became such a bad experience. We didn't have enough silverware. Not enough straws. No napkins. I'm just extremely disappointed we used our gift card for another...
Read moreCurbside pickup is terrible. It was set to be ready at 11:35am. I ordered a lunch salad and a sweet potato as my side. I arrived on time and waited 25 minutes in my car, decided to go into the restaurant since I was on my lunch break and couldn’t wait any longer. Went to the takeout area and there was no one there so I waited there for about 4-6 minutes. The manager saw me and we made eye contact twice and he never attempted to walk over and ask what he could help me with. The bartender seemed like she was busy which wasn’t an issue at all since she did have a few customers however again the manager seemed to be free. Thankfully the bartender was able to get me my food. I saw my salad was there and my wrapped up what I thought was my sweet potato. Went back to work to discover it was a regular baked potato…very disappointed and frustrated I went back to the restaurant and asked for the manager. The manager some tall white guy with a tattoo on his neck comes over to me with a non caring attitude. He never introduced himself nor apologized for the mistake like a manager is supposed to do which is coming from someone who used to work at a restaurant for a few years. Instead he asked what was the issue to which I politely explained the issue and showed him my receipt that shows printed “sweet potato” . This guy said “oh you want a baked potato?” I said “a sweet potato” and he goes “oh”. Finally he comes back with a Togo box. I asked him “did you double check to make sure this is a sweet potato?” To which he said “yes I checked” . Never again will I be coming back to this location. Management is...
