Hands down, the highlight of our entire trip to Charleston. I’ve visited quite a few speakeasies over the years, but this one? It blew them all away. From the moment we stepped through the hidden entrance, we were transported to another era - a glamorous, Prohibition-era dream come to life.
The atmosphere was like something out of a movie set - plush vintage furniture, dim golden lighting, and incredible attention to period detail. Every corner of the space whispered history and elegance. Major kudos to the designer - what a vibe.
But the true standout of the night was Abby, our bartender and hostess. Her charisma was magnetic, and she went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and seen, even on a bustling night. Her cocktail recommendations were spot on, and I can honestly say we had the best drink we’ve ever had in Charleston, maybe even all of South Carolina.
Do yourself a favor and make a reservation, it spot fills up fast and for good reason. We’ll absolutely be back the next time we’re in town. Thank you, Abby, for making the night...
Read moreI made a reservation (for a bar, sigh...) over a month in advance, and replied to the reminder text the day before which then confirmed the reservation. Hours before the reservation time, I get another automated text saying it's canceled because of pre-planned renovations. We drove 4 hours and planned to celebrate my wife's birthday that night. Incredibly let down and pissed off with how this was handled. No one from the business reached out, no one replied to the message I sent on the website, and the phone number on the website goes to another business next door that apparently shares a phone. They said the building was gutted and this had been long planned. Then, why take a reservation, confirm it the day before, and then cancel it the day of??? The real kicker is that they charge $20 per person for late cancelations. Does that apply in reverse when they late cancel on us? I don't care what they do with the new space during their renovations, I'd never go back...
Read moreThis place was recommended to us by the hotel we were staying at close by. Made reservations on Resy and confirmed reservation the day before. We showed up and never got to provide the password to get in — not a big deal, but part of the excitement and experience. Anyways, we were seated by the bar and the bartender was extremely attentive and friendly. Her drinks were stellar 🌟 My hubs got a Moscow mule and I got the Shamrock Martini. The atmosphere was dark and decorations were very vintage/antique style which was really fun. My only piece of feedback would be around the clutter that existed around the bar area that was poorly covered by a hanging sheet. If you sit near the bar you have a direct view into essentially a closet full of stacked up boxes and items hanging out. Other than that, everything was perfect and I wish we could have...
