Ate here 5 times in 3 days recently as I was staying for work. Spent about $200-$250 in total on the following meals: Breakfast - 4/5 Trotters Starter. Nothing special, but the food was cooked to order, fresh, and good. Salmon Entree - 5/5 fresh salmon, cooked perfectly Grouper Entree 2/5 - oversalted and way too much butter. Overpriced at 29.99 Boston Cream Pie 2/5 - nothing special. Bland. Shrimp & Grits Entree w/ side of Collard Greens 1/5 - the collard greens were good but the shrimp and grits were terrible. I woke up at 12am that night and vomited my dinner up Atmosphere - 5/5 beautiful tableware, decor, and room Service - 2/5 - one of my servers reaked of cigarettes. The service was slow.

Trotters is truly a hidden gem. It's a great place to have dinner with your family and actually be able to hear each other talk. Anthony is our favorite waiter. He has been there for years and takes great care of us. The owner Jimmy is often there as well. The food here is DELICIOUS. Because it's inside of The Town and Country Inn they have a very wide selection of items on the menu. This works for our family when we can't decide what we want . There is something here for everyone. I have never had a bad meal here. The fried chicken is the best in town. I also love their fried flounder. I highly recommend checking them out.

I've come here quite a few times for the fried chicken. They serve you half a chicken; leg, thigh, breast, wing. So that's quite plenty. I also get mashed potatoes and collards. Potatoes are perfect and the collards are a little sweeter than I prefer. I also finally came here for their breakfast buffet. Everything was yummy. And they had quite a variety and even a omelet station. The only complaint I have was some of the eggs had egg shells in it. One piece was so thick and hard it cut the inside of my mother's mouth. But it might have just been an off day. Either way I like this place and we'll continue dining here.

Best all-U-can-eat lunch buffet in W Ashley! James, Rest Mgr(?) Is very polite & helpful. Kenny, Buffet Staff, extremely helpful, patient & courteous. Their good is always gr8 & salad bar fantastic! Sunday's Brkfst/Buffet has made 2 order omelets w/LOTS of avail add-in options. Kenny then brings food out w car for me & puts walker in 4 me! I would never give one cent of my homegrown local dollars to this establishment.

After an emergency at our home we needed a hotel room for one night. I was greeted by a front desk clerk who was nice at first. I told him that I needed a room for the night. He asked for ID and payment but as soon as he saw my address was local on my ID his attitude changed to rude and disrespectful. He informs me that the owner doesn't rent to locals and to leave. I ask why and he says,m it's there choice. Ok well my choice is to never spend another cent at this or any other establishment owned and operated by this owner. I suggest you think about...
