OK so before I rant I do want to say that I've been to several cookouts before the best of which have been in Charlotte. So of course I have very high-ish expectation or at least GOOD expectation service, whatever because this is what I got before. But nope not the case here-the service and the food was horrible! I will never go here again. The first time I came here I had a cookout tray I asked for a burger and some fries. The burger was very dry like it was overdone and all the extra stuff I paid for like the sauce and everything else was just toss on there and most of it to one-side! Also on the fries I added chili and cheese and it was added very skimpy like what am I paying an extra two dollars (if I'm being exact it was $1.70) for ...NOTHING. (That's a whole another order of fries!) I might as well have gotten regular fries. But to give it the benefit of doubt I came here again. I mean it might have been a fluke, a one time type thing...maybe a bad day or something, I don't know. So this time I ordered some of their chicken nugget, some milkshakes and once again fries but I learn my lesson that time! and just stuck to Cajun seasoning. Relatedly simple, right? Wrong! They forgot the Cajun seasoning now I know what you're thinking you're probably like "Deanna, Chill it was just seasoning! " but it was the way they did it that made it wrong. When I glanced down at my food because you know that's what you do when you get your food you make sure you have everything there, I noticed there was no seasoning on the fries so I turn to the checkout window but the girl had already shut the door as soon as she handed me the food! didn't wait to see if I need anything else, ask me if I wanted sauce, nothing. So I wait for her to notice me because they apparently can't hear by beeping or see you waving at the window (as much of them are in there) so she finally sees I'm still at her window and opened it to see what I want. So I tell her I asked for Cajun seasoning on my fries and ask if possible if I could have some put some on it. She takes my bag, closes the window and takes enough time for her to practically give me a whole new order of fries but when she hands me my bag there is literally seasoning on EVERYTHING in my bag except the fries in its little bag. She seriously just dumped seasoning on all the fries spilling out and everything underneath it! I was honestly tempted to ask for a refund but like I mentioned before it was just fries. And as I write this I have had enough time to finish my milkshake and that's because half of it was Watermelon that was not blended up...how can you mess up a milkshake?! It's just that this was the worst service I've had in a while and it's probably because I've been going to other places like Captain D's right down the road. And I mentioned them because the wait (in the drive-thru ) on both of them is a very long but at least there they ask if you want any condiments and say stuff like "sorry for the wait" and not shut the door as soon as the food...
Read morewent for the first time last night with my fiance because we wanted to order some takeout. I really didn't know what to expect, but I was hoping for some good burgers. We ordered a huge steak style, a regular cheddar style, large fries, side of cole slaw, a cheerwine, a sweet tea, and banana fudge milkshake. The burgers were delicious and very satisfying. I wasn't sure whether to expect a mcdonalds style wafer dry burger or something juicy and delicious. Fortunately, I got a thick, juicy, and delicious burger. I dare say it was similar to five guys burgers if not better. The grilled onions on the steak style added a sweet and tangy flavor to the burger that was very welcome. The fries were hot and ketchup came in the bag without me asking. The cole slaw was good as well, southern style. The banana fudge shake was delicious and had real banana in it. We couldn't finish it though, as we had ordered too much. The classic Cheerwine helped wash all of it down and went great with the burger and fries. All in all, I was pleasantly surprised and will be going back again, probably frequently. Additionally, all of this was ordered at a great price. I think it ended up being 17 bucks or so, and out of curiosity, I compared it to the five guys menu because of their similarity in burger style. It would have cost nearly 25 dollars to order the same stuff at five guys, and they don't even...
Read moreWell unfortunately I hate to make a review about this but I had an ugly encounter with a young lady named Goddess I believe it was. Well this young lady must’ve had a horrible day before I came in which is no excuse to act the way she did but when I say I was never that highly disgusted as I was when I came in. While I was placing my order with the young lady you could tell she had an attitude laced in her voice. I tried to ignore it but once my food was ready when I went up to get my food she threw the bag towards me. So I said that was unnecessary and if you weren’t feeling well today you shouldn’t have came in.. I don’t know if that triggered her but after that she just started going off on me. She called me fat, she said I needed to diet instead of eating there, that I needed to worry about myself before she “fought me” overall it was horrible. I was extremely worried about my food after the situation thinking if she already had an attitude maybe she could’ve possibly done something to my food. The young lady Goddess needs to be fired or something because she’s gonna be bad for business with an...
