Well just stay away from here, let's start off with the place needs to be cleaned. I just walked in there ordered food to go. The cook was not wearing gloves no hairnet. So he starts to put my food on the grill, but before I finish this I'm not even going to eat the food. So he puts the hashbrowns on the grill then grabs the cheesesteak meat with his bare fingers puts it on the grill. Then goes over and grab two pieces of bacon out of the fridge with his bare hands the same hand he just had his fingers on the cheesestake meat. Then Puts the two pieces of bacon on the grill then just wipes his hands on his apron and immediately starts to grab lettuce and other Fixin's without washing his hands. Absolutely discussed and he shouldn't be cooking food he literally just cross contaminated all of the condiments and Fixin's then he goes and grabs the bread for my melt with yet again you already know his bare fingers that still have not been washed. Puts butter on the Texas toast bread and put that on the grill and still without washing his hands grabs the cheese for both of the items I ordered and puts the now contaminated cheese on all of my food. After he was done he took my melt put it on some dirty piece of wood in front of the grill and cut it in half and then picked it up with his bare hands and put it into the Togo box. This guy shouldn't be cooking, and this place should not be opening their doors until they're clean from the ceiling to the floor and their staff knows how to do their job. Thanks for the worst experience of my life in a Waffle House. This is why people do not deserve $15 an hour for minimum wage you can't do your job right for the money you make now why should we pay you more...
Read moreSat at an empty table that was available but had not yet been wiped off from the last patron’s meal. Several staff walked past my friend and I who were never greeted upon our arrival. The staff did not make eye contact, did not hand us menus, never offered to wipe off the table. They basically ignored us. Again, there was no line when we entered and the booth was empty, so it wasn’t that the workers were too busy to say “hello. I’ll be right back to wipe your table.” After close to 10 min of sitting, my friend waved her hand to ask the one female server who kept passing by our table doing and saying nothing if she could please have someone wipe the table. This woman never responded to us but rather repeated to her coworker what had been asked. She walked out of sight through the swinging door with another worker and proceeded to put on a Waffle House paper hat and basically appeared to be wasting time rather than attending to patrons. It was the most blatant rudeness and willful ignoring of customers I have ever experienced, and I am middle aged and eaten out for decades! My friend and I ended up walking out after having never been spoken to and drove to the Waffle House on Saul White Blvd - location in N. Charleston where we had terrific service by two friendly workers who earned a $20 tip! Do NOT go to this Savannah Hwy location beside Holiday Inn unless you are prepared...
Read moreThe absolute worst experience I have ever had at an eating establishment. My friends and I were there for 2 hours despite only taking 5 minutes to eat because the waitress took so long to get everything to us. We received food before water which we had to ask for again. Then we got the attention of another waitress to ask to pay because we hadn't seen our waitress in a long time. She collected everyone's checks. I had a view of her at the register and she dropped a few things, check and cash. Then she comes back to our table and asks if the check and card she was holding was mine. I confirmed it was, and she said she hadn't run it yet. She goes back to the register and as time goes by I check my bank account app to see if she has run my card yet, and indeed she had run it for 2 separate checks! One was not mine! She came back over to the table and gave me back my card and check and I asked her about it. She said she canceled the incorrect check (why didn't she just ask me BEFORE she ran ANY check against my card which check was mine???!). Furthermore she wouldn't have mentioned it if I hadn't checked my account and noticed. Not to mention this overdraw my checking account. My friend smartly asked that she print a receipt showing the first check had been canceled to prove to my bank it wasn't my fault. I have only given the highlights of this horrible experience, do...
