We LOVED our tour with Captain Howie! Our three kids were so excited to go on the boat and hunt for teeth. Howie was absolutely awesome at communicating. Since our trip was technically at the end of his season, I'm so glad I reached out and that he was available. The weather was a major concern as the tides were pretty extreme. He was honest that the water may be too concerning to go. Luckily, we were able to go a little bit later than originally planned. Howie's experience and knowledge made sure we left at a time that was right for the ocean, and safest for everyone. We had flexibility in our schedule so the hour delay helped give us a better ride to the island and more opportunities to find treasure. Definitely bring a large sturdy bag for collecting things, btw. Howie taught the kids (and adults) how to find shark teeth. He also helped us identify other treasures like fossils. Howie answered all of our questions and knew so much about Charleston. We'll definitely be using him again for any future excursions. He was down to earth, honest and encouraging. We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon with Adventure...
Read moreWe had a great time on the “mild” sunset tour! We went as a group of 3 and joined 3 couples on the boat. It was nice to have a smaller group with plenty of room on the boat. The boat was comfortable and the byob option is nice. I forgot our guide’s name, but he was friendly and made us feel very welcome. The only note that we all agreed on was that there was a bit too much commentary during the tour—I’m sure lots of jokes and facts would be appreciated by families with kids but as since our tour group was all adults, I would’ve appreciated a bit less commentary and more time to socialize amongst ourselves or just enjoy the scenery. Still, it was a lovely ride and I’d recommend this...
Read moreThis is the third time I have gone on the Morris Island trip with this company. I can't wait to go again. This is absolutely a fantastic little day trip. The owner is wonderful and full of interesting information as you head out to the island. He is dog friendly and genuinely wants you to have a good time. He will make sure you find lots of treasures while you are on the beach- or walk alone if you don't need help spotting things on your own. No one goes home empty handed. Morris Island can only be accessed by boat and is one of the best places locally to hunt for sharks teeth. He takes small groups (bonus) and I guarantee you won't regret supporting this...
