I've been walking by this place for a couple of months now when going to other restaurants around it. I decided to give it a try, finally. When I walked in, I was greeted professionally by a server known as "Bossy 6 S." He explained everything to me, which helped me select exactly what I wanted. I ordered the wing combo with house fries, Iredell Slaw, and a sweet tea.

You will have to seat yourself, as there are no servers, unlike in other sit-down restaurants. The restaurant was clean and had an open, airy atmosphere. They also offered an outdoor eating space, if that is your preference.

The food didn't take long, as it wasn't busy, which was unusual since it was lunchtime and there were only two other customers eating, and a total of three people ordered and left. I do consider myself a chicken aficionado, so I was ready to see how good their chicken is. I did notice that the wings were enormous, which automatically turned me off. I'm not a fan of enormous chicken wings. They did look like they would be tasty. When I bit into the chicken, I noticed it was flavorless, and all the batter fell off the chicken the moment I bit into it. The house fries were a bit salty, but delicious nonetheless. The slaw was horrible to me. The sweet tea was also tasty and had a balanced sweetness. I was disappointed with my food and threw away all but the fries. I probably should've followed my first mind and ordered the fried chicken breast sandwich. However, I will not be returning to this restaurant and do not...

Do yourself a favor and just go to Chick-fil-A! I wish I would’ve read the reviews before going … Overpriced for no reason… Service is like a McDonald’s, place an order pick it up at the counter, Fill your own drink no reason for a tip! Asking for a tip starting at 18% at this place is actually very offensive… Lady at the counter was very nice. I paid $19.00 for a hot thigh sandwich. If you want cheese you have to pay an extra dollar if you want an extra sauce you have to pay $.49, to make your order a combo you have to pay an additional six dollars. Unfortunately, the price didn’t balance out the flavor and quality.. chicken was undercooked and was not fresh the first time I got it …. I took it back to the lady at the counter, and by all means the gentleman in the kitchen went out of his way to make sure I was satisfied, Five star for him and his customer service. Unfortunately, by the time I was eating my second sandwich I was already grossed out by the first one that was sticky and bloody. The fries are very bland nothing special about them, the fresh pickle tasted really good with the sandwich But overall experience was not a good one and I would not care to go back not for the food… I’m giving two stars because I think the staff was...

Went there on a Saturday evening—place was so empty I thought I missed a health inspection notice. First time trying it, so we went in with open minds and empty stomachs. The staff was friendly, the restaurant was mostly clean, so things were looking promising… until the food showed up.

The sandwiches arrived at a temperature best described as “mildly interested.” Turns out they keep the chicken in a warmer after frying it, which is a bold move for something priced like it was made to order. My wife got the chicken bites—soggy, aggressively salty, and apparently one was enough because she tapped out immediately. My son ordered the chicken thigh sandwich. He’s 14, loves buffalo sauce, and has the metabolism of a hummingbird, yet he barely made it halfway through. That says a lot.

The fries? Decent. Which is unfortunate because they were the best part of the meal. Maybe we caught them on an off night, but we won’t be in a hurry...

We had not been to the Ballatyne bowl entertainment area before and it was PACKED. Recommend parking in the deck nearby if you can and walking over versus hunting for spaces. Very accessible walking areas. Good seating inside and out with prompt walk-up ordering and table service (you get a number tent). The bites, fries, and cucumber salad were all pretty good. The fried could be a little crispier. Had the bossy sauce and the dijoionaise for dipping which were both good. Drink choices are a little limited so not sure the combo was really worth it for me. Clean single person restrooms with changing tables available. All in all, a good experience, albeit on the pricier side. Want to try the slaw and sandwich next time!

We tried this new restaurant at the Bowl. You order at the counter and they call your name when ready to pick it up. The food was good, but most of it is fried. I had the chicken salad wrap which was decent. The fries had seasoning on them and they were delish. Also the fries portion was huge, so 2 people can share them. I thought it was a little expensive for a very casual restaurant. It cost us over $50 for lunch. Plenty of seating. We sat inside and you could smell the grease on us when we left because the grill is open. Customer service was wonderful. If you’re looking for fried chicken sandwich, this is the place.

We have had better experiences before at Bossy Beulah’s on Bowl Street in Charlotte, NC. Today, either we didn't notice before or something changed, but the price for one chicken sandwich by itself is over $9, which is ridiculous. The staff also didn't seem to like that we brought to go food with us from another restaurant across the street. Once we opened one of the chicken sandwiches, a hair from an employee was found in the wrapper. The sandwiches in the past always appeared to be fresh, but were not today and barely warm. We are not interested in going back again.
