Chalice Café — Restaurant in Charlotte

So funny, I was trying to figure out which was my favorite bar in Charlotte Airport because my wife was stuck there for a few hours last night. I finally figure it out and see so many low reviews.

I'm sensing a lot of entitled travelers out there. Of course a place is going to have rules they have to enforce. You aren't a special exception so your 1 star is disqualified.

Customer service didn't meet your expectations? Let's see you run this place by yourself is often the case. Get over yourself. They cranks stuff out like rock stars.

And as far as Tonya, I was in and out of this airport a lot last year, but had to quit traveling for about 6 months. Once I started back, Tonya recognized me! Rudest employee ever! I literally had to send an urgent work email and asked if I could sit down to send it because I couldn’t find a place on the busy airport and they had PLENTY of available seats. He initially said sure, but if he gets busy, he’s gonna have to ask me to move to which I replied, of course. Within 15 minutes later (needless to say, it takes at least 5-7 mins for one to connect to the airport Wi-Fi), he asked me if I can order something or leave. I told him I’m finishing up and I will leave despite the fact they were 2–3 seats available around me. He (the one at the register) was incredibly rude and unthoughtful. I rushed to finish off my email after another 15 minutes. I was done. I would definitely not send any money in an establishment that have employees that are this rude. I had just walked off the plane at the Charlotte airport and stopped kinda in the traffic and put my purse on the ledge at this place. Was going to sit down and have a drink after I checked my boarding pass for my next flight. Just wanted to make sure I actually had time and close to the right gate... at least 7 seats empty at this place and all of a sudden I was verbally attacked by an older blond.. looked like 50ish and in very ill mood. She never even said hello. Just started in that I couldn’t hold that seat... I was trying to explain that I was just checking my next flight ... she went off about the seat. I wasn’t sitting... yet. She was so rude, I said lady... no one is waiting and there are plenty of seats. She said you don’t know that! I said I’m looking at the empty seats now!! I walked off. I had planned on getting my bearing and order but I will never ever go to a place with such a rude person...
