This place is the absolute worst. On my first ever layover in Charlotte around 8 PM I noticed that the food options were very limited—Chick-Fil-A was closed on a Friday, not sure why—so I figured a knockoff Chipotle wouldn’t be too bad because how can one mess up rice and beans right? Wrong. Along with the staff not wearing hairnets with the exception of maybe 2 people, they all seemed very disinterested in fulfilling orders when the line was very very long. Having worked in food service, I understand that it’s stressful and annoying especially in airports (in a pandemic), but at least act like you care about fitting what I wanted into my burrito? Speaking of burritos, i got the chicken one and it was absolutely tasteless. There’s no choice of brown or white rice, the chicken looked like tofu at first glance, and even adding black beans, red onion, corn, lettuce, and guac didn’t help. These are simple ingredients that usually have a lot of flavor and are easy to season. When I came back to the counter to ask for salt, no one had a clue and i had to go next door to Jersey Mike’s to ask, only for the (very kind) employee to point to a napkin/salt/pepper station behind me. You’d probably be better off going to Jersey Mike’s anyhow because a decent sandwich is better than...
Read moreI work for the airline industry and every time I go to Salsarita’s I get such awful customer service here. I work in customer service and I am disgusted by how the workers there treat me and how I’ve watched them treat others. The first few times I figured to ignore it because even I have had a bad day but after yesterday with the service and meeting a completely new airline crew member telling me she was treated with the same disrespect, I had to write something. The food is usually good but unfortunately I was yet again not even greeted with anything but “that’s where you stand to order” when I stood back to wait to be called up when six employees were standing right there. After I got my food, I waited to see how they would treat someone else. The next person was a TSA worker. He stood right near the glass to order and no one approached him or even acknowledged him for a good few minutes while six employees were there. One which was resting her arm on the cash register looking bored. There are other options in the airport and I wish the service and attitude of the workers at Salsarita’s would change but until that happens I will not be...
Read moreToday I was accused of reaching over the glass case while pointing out the items I wanted. When I informed Precious that I hadn't reached over , she immediately said stop touching the glass. Well excuses me Precious, but there is no signage. How am I supposed to tell you what items i want? All the while, Precious, the fat pregnant lady that made the accusation wouldn't stand up straight. She literally made my dish while sliding across the buffet on her deep crusty elbows. Her face was less than 12 inches from dish, she had on no gloves, she had on no mask, yet, she yelled at me for touching the glass while pointing out the item's I wanted. DIRTY, GHETTO, TRASHY. OVER PRICED, SMALL PORTIONS, .. SO, I LET PRECIOUS COMPLETE MY ORDER WHILE DRAGGING AROUND ON HER ELBOWS. THEN, WHEN SHE HANDED IT OVER TO HER GHETTO, HOOD RAT MANAGER TO BE RANG UP. 19.95 HE SAID. I LOOKED AT THAT DISGUSTING LOOKING BOWL OF SLOP. I THEN, CASUALLY TURNED AND WALKED OFF. IF I CAN'T POINT AT THE GLASS, IM DEFINITELY NOT EATING YOUR...
