I'm not happy to write this as this spot has been my go to for a couple years. I made it a point when quarantine began to continue to patronize this local business, they were taking proper precautions and my food was always good. I went to pick up my order Wednesday evening and not a single employee had a mask on. There were 3 staff members behind the counter eating and didnt even bother to wash their hands before handing me my food. I was incredibly surprised and just kind of walked out with my bag. I'm no germaphobe but being that we are still in the midst of a pandemic it was completely unprofessional and socially irresponsible. I didnt eat my food, I tossed it. I called the next day to talk to the manager who wasnt in, so I called today. The same guy who handed me my food answered the phone, stated he was in charge. I asked about their mask policy and he rudely said "why?" I proceeded to explain as he cut me off raising his voice saying "it's been a year and there's no evidence in the numbers, being masked violates my civil rights and it's hard to breathe." Dude, then you dont need to work with the public currently. I wear a mask for 9 hrs a day too, I get it. Atleast have 1 single employee that's dealing directly with your customers in a mask. On September 5, 2022, my family and I placed orders for three combination plates, a Crab Rangoon order, an order of egg drop soup, an additional order of fried noodles, and six egg rolls. When we got home, we discovered the egg rolls were missing, the rice was undercooked, and the shrimp was also undercooked. We called right away and went back to the restaurant to ask about the food. Even though the business closed at 9 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, no one was there when we arrived at 9:23 p.m. On September 6, 2022, we contacted and spoke with the manager (a gentleman with no given name), who said that undercooked rice was typical and that no refund could be given, but that we could still get the six egg rolls. When we complained about the undercooked rice and shrimp that came with the missing food, we were told that the only thing that could be done was to replace the egg rolls. When we asked to speak with the owner, we were told that he was out of the building and that he would not be returning. We have spent thousands of dollars at this restaurant over the years, and we have told others that it serves the best Chinese food. Read moreI have been a loyal customer since 2008 when they were still located across from Central Piedmont community college. I have been ordering the same thing. Today I ordered what I always order, got home and found it was something different. Now my family and myself are ready-to-eat but I cannot. I call the store location to advise them of their mistake. And the lady said it was my "fault because she repeated the orders." She did not repeat the order to me In fact, I also was going to order a sweet tea. But she hung up so fast I didnt get the chance. I asked her to review all my past orders And she will see I always order the same thing chicken and broccoli, It was not my fault. She told me that she could not credit me for the dinner. I had to bring the dinner back and then they would remake it for me. That is not an option for me not to mention extremely inconvenient. I asked her based on my loyalty and my track record of ordering the same thing. Can you not just issue me a credit? She again said no. Because it is not her fault and that is how she is taught to handle it. I thanked her and ended the call.
