I would love to give this restaurant 5 stars because the food was nothing less than amazing but because of our waitress I can only give 3 stars. I'm not 100% sure why but I could tell our waitress did not want me in her resturant.. First of all when my friend ordered for us she never once looked at me and I was fine with that but it didn't stop there . She forgot to give us forks and when she finally brought them she placed them on the table and in a very low deep voice said sorry in Spanish really fast and walked away, still never looking at me. Not once did she come back to our table to see if we needed anything else, instead she sent a very nice gentleman from the back. It was not busy at all so it wasn't because she had a lot of customers and needed help. When my friend who happens to be a Honduran woman asked her for 2 to go boxes she brought only one still never looking at me. We finally had to get the 2nd to go box from the nice gentleman who came to our table before. The only time our waitress ever looked at me was when she was behind the register whispering to her co workers quickly moving her head to the side or looking down when she saw me looking her way. I thought about complaining to the manager but I was having such an amazing time with my family I just let it go . So, if you're looking for great food this is the place but if it bothers you that a complete stranger some how holds god only knows what against you and makes you feel like you are not welcomed at all then you may want to find...

Extremely bad service. Waitresses are not attentive and the manager does not what so ever have good customer service skills. I ordered a side of sour cream and when it was time to pay I saw it was $2.50 for a small amount... when other restaurants will charge a dollar or so. I politely asked if the price could be lowered or the item be taken off the tab. He began to say I did not want to pay because he was Hispanic, when I myself am Hispanic as well. He went off saying β€œIf this were an American restaurant like Outback or Red Lobster you would have no problem paying for Ranch.” And also stated β€œI payed for that napkin that you used, This pen, the electrity” showing us different items . Not only that, but continued to say β€œ I have bills to pay like the insurance of this restaurant... if I want I can raise the prices of the things you got and make you pay more”. It was absolutely ridiculous because he was yelling and slamming the item on the register of what he’s bought and left yelling to the waitress β€œI’ll pay for it since people don’t know how to pay”. I payed for it in addition to my 50$ tab. I agree I have to pay for what I eat, but I not was asking for a fair price. Would NOT RECOMMEND this...

We celebrated Cinco de Mayo here, but we really came for the Honduran and Salvadoran food more than Mexican.

We got way too much food and I'm still in a food coma. We ordered a pork and cheese Pupusa, Baleada #5, chorizo tacos, the Salvadoran steak, tres leches, and horchata.

For $6 I thought the Baleada would be small, but it was huge. It could have been my whole meal.

It was all fantastic. My favorite thing was the Pupusa followed very closely by the Baleada.

The tacos were great, but they didn't stand out as much to me since I don't see baleadas and pupusas on as many menus around.

The sweet treats were great. I loved both the tres leches and the horchata. I think the tres leches was the best I've had.

They aren't doing curbside right now, so you'll need to order over the phone and go inside to pick it up. They also can't take payment over the phone, so you have to pay inside. These weren't the best for social distancing, but luckily no one was inside when we were there.

The Batch Maker recommended this for Honduran food and I'm so glad she did. We loved it and it's not something you see much...

Visited with a friend for lunch. It took a while to figure out what to order because their menu has so many choices. We were there for lunch so went with lunch specials. We shared the plaintain empanada and the Honduran style empanada to start. For lunch I had Bistec Ranchero and my friend had the shrimp burrito. Portions were huge for lunch. My steak had great flavor as did the tomato sauce it was cooked in. Corn tortillas were thicker than I am used to but tasted very flavorful. My friends shrimp burrito had a lot of shrimp with a white sauce on it. Looked very good and heard no complaints from my friend. My favorite thing was the plaintain empanada though. A must try and would be good as dessert. Great plaintain flavor and filled with a cream cheese I think. Service was a little lacking but nothing that was unreasonable. We were in and out quickly for lunch. Just waited a while for our check. I will be back for lunch and probably dinner sometime.

I moved to Charlotte 13 years ago and this was one of the first restaurants my family and I discovered as we were looking for Hispanic food. Coming from NJ and being Guatemalan we are very picky with our Latin food since NJ and NY have very authentic offerings. We absolutely loved this place!! Every time I have visitors from out of state I bring them here and it's always a hit. The menu is huge, the portions are super big and prices so good. Their desayunos are my fave and remind me of home. At one point the service was not that great but this last time we went a few days ago it was really good so def has improved! I have not had one bad thing on the menu yet!!
