Latest Review 4 stars: So after some bad experiences I’ve continued to go to Pollo Royal, because the chicken can be great! and it is convenient. Well they’ve made a lot of improvements. The customer service the last few times I’ve been there has been much more consistent and much better overall. The personnel is attentive and communicate effectively. The space looks a lot better and the food is still on point!!!

First Review 2 stars: Wow so much potential but such bad service. When Pollo Royal does what their menu says, depending on the version of the menu for that day, it holds its own in a competitive field of rotisory chicken. However! the employees at Pollo Royal regularly dish out bad service such as; not sticking to the menu. Come in on one day and the price is X come in another day and the price is Y. Like others have said, good luck getting an attendant that speaks or reads English. Oh and your Google translated Spanish is beneath them. Rotisory chicken is all over the city. I’ll take my time tasting what else...

Went for lunch to try this place out. Always looking for new hidden gems in the area to try for lunch and this is a place I will definitely go back to. Lunch special was 3 chicken tacos for $5.99. Lots of chicken and to corn tacos were excellent. I usually like a little more stuff in my taco, but these pleasantly surprised me. It was the perfect portion for lunch, but I wanted to try their rice and beans and a piece of fried chicken so I report back on more than just tacos. Fried chicken was fantastic. Juicy and we'll seasoned. Not too much breading. Rice and beans was par for the course. They also have some sauces on the table and one is super spicy Tabasco like sauce and the other is a light green cream sauce, which was amazing on the chicken. Don't let the outside appearance of the strip mall scare you from trying...

Called to place an order for delivery. Person who answered picked up and greeted me in spanish (not a big deal). I then asked "Can I place an order for delivery please?" thinking that this would either trigger her to try to speak as best English as she could or maybe get someone else to assist with the order whose English was a little bit better. Nope...She just hung up on me instead. How in the hell do you run a business in the United States of America and then hang up on your customer for politely asking to place an order in English? Again, I don't mind if their English is not great, I am willing to work with people, but this was unacceptable. Will never call or stop in to this place.
