I’m giving them 4 out of 5 stars in this sincere review for the franchisee as takeaways..the POSITIVES far outweigh the OPPORTUNITIES!
Positives: The convenience of the location itself being in proximity to the University, Concord, Harrisburg areas. The ambiance is comforting and inviting. The staff were smiling, helpful; and the service was efficient. By the way, whoever that “Zack Washington” person is that left the 1-star post, and only has 1-review to their name; I’m assuming they are one of the competition posting under a pseudonym. Firstly I’d like to say it is a shame for such a negative post - healthy competition/comraderie is good, and telling folks to go with an “original” instead is like telling all non-Ford brand car owner to ditch their car and go Ford because they made the original car in the Model T. I’ve visited every one of the “Yemeni-themed” establishments in the city, and I can honestly say they all offer their own strong suites. Let us not be negative, and instead be subjective/honest/fair in our reviews.
Opportunities: Perhaps I missed this somewhere on their social media presence for clarity, but prior to arriving it was a bit unclear of the preferred area for parking, and is there a fee to park in the lightrail deck? Now to the menu item feedback; I ordered the iced pistachio latte, and I get the layers showing through the glass are there for the visuals as well, but mixing in the pistachio flavor - the green part, not sure of whether its a syrup or what - but mixing that flavor into the drink for the flavor to come through was tough; as it all just fell and rested to the bottom of the serving glass, below the ice. The drink ended up tasting like overly milky chocolate milk. As said, the layered visual for the drink was there, but the layered flavors didn’t come through as it should. Perhaps adjust the mixing/levels of the ingredients to come through prior to serving to customer. I’m assuming the drink is one of your more popular menu items for people to want to come back more of, so hope the feedback helps.
Overall, great to see another establishment like this come to the city..wish you nothing...
Read moreQamaria Yemeni Coffee isn’t just another cafe it’s a full on experience. From the moment you walk in, the warm hospitality and rich aroma of spices set the tone for something special. If you’re tired of the same old coffee chains, this place is a breath of fresh air. I ordered the Yemeni adeni tea and it was incredible beautifully balanced with spices like cardamom. just sweet enough without being overpowering. It’s smooth, fragrant, and unlike anything you’ll find at a typical coffee shop. It’s the kind of drink you sip slowly because you don’t want it to end. The appetizers wow specially the bint alsahn (Yemeni honey butter bread) is delicious, fresh, and clearly made with care. Perfectly flaky, warm, and paired so well with the adni tea and goes with any other hot drinks. The space itself is clean, welcoming, and full of cultural touches that make it feel authentic yet comfortable. Staff were kind, knowledgeable, and happy to show u and serve u. if you’re unfamiliar with Yemeni coffee traditions. Highly recommend Qamaria for anyone looking to expand their coffee horizons. Whether you’re a casual coffee drinker, tea drinker or a full on enthusiast, this place is...
Read moreOverall: Would not recommend. Bells and whistles without any of the actual quality.
Food was mediocre at best. I had the iced cocoa which was literally chocolate milk with some frothing in a plastic cup. The desserts looked old.
Service was terrible. The girl at the register was rude and impatient. For a new place the employees should be willing to assist customers in decisions and be patient with the process. There was no one in line, just us. The girl rushed us and became annoyed that we were pointing at desserts since they weren’t labeled. Later it was clear why she was impatient, her friends were at a table and she wanted to visit.
Atmosphere: forced. The tables were dirty and we had to be very picky about where we chose to sit. Outdoor tables had ashtrays, which was weird to see. But then we realized it was for the employees to go out there to smoke. The music is too loud.
Again, would not recommend. The place is overhyped and underrated.
I see how the owners are replying to other reviews and I can only hope they’ll take criticism and feedback to improve their establishment otherwise it’ll just be another building...
