Yesterday I received my first delivery order with Wendy's located near the entrance of Highway 85. Let me preface this by saying that I have been a supervisor in management for over 14 years, managing many staff. My experience was surprising, disappointing yet expected in this location and once again reinforces a belief that other cultures have about my culture. Now please know that any time food is picked up as a delivery individual I never have to get on a line as if I am ordering the food. I am supposed to go straight to the area that is designated as pick up of online orders. That being said when the main dining room doors were closed, I assumed that I would drive straight to the window, state the name of the customer and the staff would hand me the pickup order. Well, my error, I was supposed to stop at the intercom, state the name of the order and then move to the delivery window. The manager working the 5pm shift (African American with glasses) on 10/30/2024, was going to show me that I was wrong, and he was not going to tolerate this simple error. Once I pulled up to the window he proceeded to tell me, per his words including no greeting "I'm going to tell you right now I saw you walking up to the door I can see everything". Of course I was confused, so I said to him "what do you mean". He then proceeded to tell me that he saw me pass the intercom to come straight to the window and "he sees everything". He said in a tone as if he was talking to a little child or a young teen just starting a job, that I needed to stop at the intercom, tell the order and then they would get the order at the window. I attempted to tell him that I did not realize this, I had never come to an establishment where I needed to go thru the drive through to pick up an order. He stated that this is my business and not his business and I needed to again follow the steps. I tried again to tell him, “Maybe if the door was going to be locked it might be better to have a note on the door". He again told me, while cutting me off, in a condescending manner as if I was an idiot that this is not what he or Wendy's needed to do that I needed to figure this out. He preceded to rant to me about how the staff needed to know who I was picking up so that the food could be hot, which I responded that is why I drove up here to tell you the name of the customer. He again said to me "NO", you need to stop at the intercom. He moved into telling me how there are people that follow the rules and those that do not, indicating me. I again told him I was unaware of this process because the delivery service did not provide this information on the app when they provided a customer name to deliver. In the end he continued to give me a full run down in front of his staff as a supervisor, which demonstrates what to your staff? That it is okay to be disrespectful, condescending, in-flexible to mistakes and over talk anyone that comes to the store. This honestly was a simple mistake on my part. However, due to his experiences with other delivery drivers, that may have been breaking the rules and stealing orders, he felt validated in treating me like I was one of those individuals and talking to me in a manner that in no way could be interpreted as respectful and patient. Well, I say, way to go Mr. Supervisor. Way to talk to someone making a simple mistake, way to show your staff the most effective way to speak to someone, way to have an in-progress learning scenario for your staff, and way to get your point across to someone that was not trying to break the rules or cause any kind of difficulty for your store. Way to go "Mr. Christian" to show your grace, by treating and speaking to me in this fashion and to end the conversation with a , "HAVE A BLESSED DAY". What a way to assist someone that is just trying to learn, by degrading them in front of others in a manner not deserved. If you want to deal with disrespectful staff, go to this Wendy’s. Nothing is going to change if the Supervisor acts just as bad as the staff that...

It seems this Wendy's has not survived the post-pandemic days. The lines are still long, and every time I've tried the dining room, it's been closed. It's worse now; I'll see two to three cars, drive around, get in the drive-thru lane, place my order, and the same car is still at the window. I waited 10 minutes with no movement. Yes, I was there for roughly 14 minutes, but take in consideration the car at the window since I pulled up had been there much longer. So, it's slow when it's busy, and it's slow when it's not. What's disappointing is that I have driven to the one on Billy Graham, and on my way back, the same cars are in line.
This location always has a line and is famous to inform customers that they are only serving nuggets and fries after a 40 min wait to order. In other words, you don't see a line, it's likely they don't have any food. It doesn't help when the late night manager is rude. I get he is under a lot of stress, but isn't everyone. I said just skip this Wendys and either go to the one of sunset or the one next to...
Read moreWorst customer service and drive thru cashier. The real big girl with no hair have the audacity to charge my card to the wrong order and then say give me your card back you didn't pay.... So I'm very confused so I look at the first receipt and she did charge my card to someone else order and then charge my card to my order without trying to refund my money back from the first order transaction.... I ask her are you gonna refund my money back she says she already did... Are you seriously think I'm dumb.... Or you just a lazy disrespectful worker that don't like people and your job.... I had to ask to speak to a manager 3 times til she called her so she can refund my money. It's very rude and unprofessional for this cashier not trying to do her job. They are all unprofessional cussing and calling each names in front of a customer that just wanted her refund from their mistake. I wish this place have better management and training. Nobody don't want to do their jobs these day. Hope they resolve this manner with the cashier in the drive thru and manager should take her job more seriously and customer issue first.and they were not apologetic for their mistake. Worst customer service....
