Horrible. Absolutely horrible! Never been more dissaponted in my life! The experience was absolutely horrific. When I tried to explain to one employee my disappointment with the lack of service, I was pushed off to another employee. And so on and so forth. Apparently no one is charge or responsible. I was extremely dissaponnted because my wife and I walked in and sat right in the middle of the bar. We sat and waited for 10 minutes as others around us walked up and were served. We were dumbfounded. An off duty employee actually sat next to us and was also disturbed by the lack of servicefor my wife and I. He told us he would help. The bartenders response was she would get to us when she could.... I am never one to complain let alone take to google to write a poor review but this was so bad I felt compelled to write a poor review. Extremely disturbed, disappointed, and frustrated. Terrible food and even more terrible service. Bartenders are inattentive, slow, rude, and unprofessional. Apparently there is no management either because I requested to speak with a manager and all employees continued to play dumb. No employee could take charge and try to remedy the situation. Instead they all played dumb and coward away. The food is also really bad. The ingredients are not fresh, the burgers were over cooked and tasted like cardboard. The attempt is made to cover up the poor quality ingredients by loading up the extremely small patty of what might as well be dog food grade meat, with a load of other ingredients. I love Jack Brown's. Never had a bad burger and they restored my faith in burgers by the way. I had just gotten off the train which was delayed in Washington for about 2 hours. When I got off the train I was overstimulated, had a headache, tired and just wanted to go home but I knew I wouldn't get home without eating my steering wheel I was so hungry. So I came to good ol' JB's. I came in and sat at the bar. One of the gorgeous ladies behind the bar quickly got my drink and order. She was incredibly kind or maybe it was just her vibe. I was just...I wasn't doing great and her energy was just what I needed. I eventually sat outside because the music wasn't helping my headache. She brought me my food and drink and I think she knew I needed a gentler touch. I dunno, magic always seems to happen at JB's. I wanted to go home so I proactively brought in my drink and everything and handed it to her. The kindness and sympathy in her eyes really shone through as she quickly got me the check, let me pay and we said our goodbyes. Everything about that night hit the spot. My boyfriend and I stopped by Jack Brown's after leaving a concert at the Jefferson. We had planned on getting a burger and a beer before we got an Uber home. We had a couple of beers at the show but in no way were we too drunk to serve (which is what happened to my boyfriend). We ordered 2 beers and 2 burgers. The bartender brought mine out but told my boyfriend that he needed to drink water and wait 15 minutes before he would serve him. Again, we did not do a thing for the bartender to not serve him and he was not at all drunk. We decided we would just leave but the bartender said that I must pay for the beer and food that I had not touched before doing so. He threatened to call the cops if we left without paying. We were upset about them not serving him but we would have left with no problem. To make us pay when we didn’t touch our food is wrong. I have NEVER in my life been treated so poorly by a bartender. You need to find employees that are kind and not on a power trip. I have been there a few times but will not be going back because it is terrible business to have a bartender that treats...
