Upon entering the building, most of the employees were yelling at each other. When the cashier approached the register she said "what you want?" This is maybe my 4th time at this establishment, so I stood aside trying to figure out my order first and she said "what you gone want? You want chicken strips or chicken?" I felt like she was rushing me to order, but I ordered the 10 piece chicken with 2 sides, biscuits, and 2 large drinks. When a white patron came in and rejoiced of the glory years of the 1960s and eating at Jack's, the same rude cashier miraculously became polite. She gave him his order, while I was still waiting for mine and she proceeded to have an argument with the manager about placing chicken in the corner of a drawer and other employees agreed with her as one of them was holding a bag with my order in it. Instead of giving me my order, they continued the conversation. I was on the way to work and didn't have time for this, but they finally gave me my order and when I got to work, I discovered that I was given 8 pieces, instead of 10 and when I called the store, a regular employee answered and lied by saying she was a manager. She said she could only give me the 2 pieces of chicken. But this would not suffice for my gas being wasted and the fact that I was already at work. Unable to comprehend that simply giving me 2 pieces was not enough, she finally gave the phone to a manager and he said he could give me 2 pieces. I explained the same thing to him and he said "well I can just give you 2 sides." But I would still be forced to waste gas and time, plus I still didn't have my correct order because of their mistake. He said "well look, I'm not gonna replace your whole 10 piece. That is definitely not going to happen." I explained that he was being inconsiderate to my time and gas and he said "bring the order back and you can get a full refund and that's your gas money." I left work again to take the food back and the cashier took the food in front of customers and threw it away in the trash and I received my money back. The manager said he would rather get a void than to correct the issue. All he had to do was refund me my money and allow me to keep the order, but he could not comprehend that and even asked me what I wanted. He should have tried to make the customer happy to ensure I return bynletting me keep the chicken, if he was going to throw it away. As a manager, you should have common sense on how to deal with mistakes and he nor his staff should treat fellow African Americans or anyone differently. The way they treat white customers versus people of color is different and should not be tolerated. I could go to KFC, Popeyes, Bojangles, or Church's or a gas station and receive...
Read moreIt's really sad what a restaurant has to deal with in hiring anyone with any amount of work ethic. Tonite 04/02/2021 around 20:34 I jumped in the drive thru to get a snack for the family because we had a late lunch. This is the second time I've been put off by the window person telling me they didn't have what I ordered, first it was no iced coffee, cuz the milk was in back of the cooler, this time I ordered a eight piece chicken n biscuit, I was told it would be 20 minutes on my chicken, I'm like, ok, I don't mind the wait, pull to the window please, so I did, didn't think any thing about it because the lady n front of me ordered a twelve piece with two sides of potatoes a side of green beans, so I assumed they could be low on chicken, even though they close at 23:00. I had to wait about 6 to 9 minutes while 3 had to straighten something out with the lady in front I didn't mind, I had to wait anyway, I didn't mind getting fresh chicken, sooo... now it's my turn in front of the window, I paid n asked, it will be 20 minutes, and turned n looked and the window person was handing me a sack, it was my order, 8 pcs chkn, n 4 biscuits n a large fry WoW, something sure changed or maybe the lady n front cancelled her order, I never saw an exchange Anyway, I could have easily said, no thank you on the 20 minute wait and just went on home, I don't understand why these people try to avoid what they are there for, very sad. Wished I had driven on home n turned the 20 minute wait down cuz the chicken was like Food City fried chicken, the crust is always hard by the time you get home Whomever reads this please don't respond with the tellittojacks.smg.com cuz last time I was prompted to mark have someone call and no one ever did Thanks n I'll try a couple more times, seems they have the iced coffee n the smoke sausage...
Read moreGood customer service will get your further with customers even when the food isn't as good. I have always liked Jacks therefore this isn't a review so much about food as it is about the service. Good service is also a reflection of the leadership it has. I went through the drive thru for my order. I am a white meat eater as I don't care for dark meat. Placed my order and drove around to the pickup window. I always check my food before driving off just to make sure I have everything. I was not told upon ordering that they were out of wings, which is white meat. I was simply given dark meat. So I waved down a server and told her. She informed me they were out. I asked, no one told me and do I get an option for something else. I then asked for the manager. When she came over, I realized it was the same young woman that took my order. Repeating myself again she simply looked at me. I asked do I not get an apology or suggest something else? She said, sorry, still looking blank in the face. I asked could I see her manager? He's not here. I asked can I get a number, she said, it's on your receipt. I asked when will he be here, she said in the morning. Still just standing with no options given. I told her she really needed and attitude adjustment, she said Bye and closed the window. I'm dumbfounded at the lack of professionalism and customer service many fast food restaurants have these days even when complaining to so called managers. I recorded the audio so I could play it back for Marcus who is the store manager Supposedly. Maybe he will suggest more training for his managers. Or I may simply post on facebook. Corp should see exactly what type of management they employ. Deja is what she told...
