I've had very few problems with this location over the last couple of years, but these past few weeks have been a complete joke. I get it if a small mistake is made every once in a while, but each of my last 5 orders has had some kind of major issue.
One trip took over 20 minutes to get my food. I ordered through the app, placed the order 10 minutes before I arrived, and when I did arrive the order had not been started yet. It was not busy at all at the time. I confirmed my name and they said they'd have it right away for me. I proceeded to watch the staff take an order for a walk in customer, make their food and give it to them ahead of my order that had already been waiting for 10 minutes. Then they (5 people) proceeded to very slowly make each of my 2 sandwiches one at a time while having an in depth conversation about a video game. From the time they started making my sandwiches to the time they were handed to me took 7 minutes. In total, from ordering time to receiving my order, was over 20 minutes. Unacceptable.
Another order, my wife's sandwich was made with bread that was clearly overcooked. I've never seen it at JJ before, but the bread was dark brown and extremely hard. Mine was fine, but my wife had to throw the bread away because it was too hard to chew. This bread should have been thrown away, and never even come close to making it into an order. This order also took much longer than expected, 15+ minutes, and I again witnessed a staff more interested in conversation than making my food.
Another order, my wife's sandwich had about 2x the proper amount of cheese, and it was wadded up into a ball and slapped on the sandwich after it had been made. Making sandwiches isn't hard - take the extra 10 seconds required to properly place the cheese onto the bread instead of just tossing a wad of cheese on after the fact. Because orders had been taking so long recently, she ordered 20 minutes before arrival to ensure it would be done when she got there because she was in a hurry. They had not even started making her order yet. I understand delays during peak times, but there's no excuse for an order taking longer than 20 minutes at 8:00 at night.
Most recently, both of our sandwiches were incorrect. Tomatoes and lettuce were left on mine when they should have been absent. My wife had requested light mayo, extra cucumbers, no tomatoes, and cut in half. None of these were done - she got the sandwich "standard" with no customization, and it had 2 slices of cucumber on it.
I love Jimmy John's for convenience, quality, and speed. But I've been let down repeatedly in ALL of these areas just within the past few weeks. Something needs to change. I'm tired of standing around and hearing staff conversations when there's work to be done. I'm tired of waiting way too long for my food only to get home and discover my sandwiches were made incorrectly.    Read moreThis has been happening over a year now and I'm to the point of never attempting again. For the longest the app was saying no delivery drivers were available. Now it's saying the food will be longer to arrive. There have been several times I have ordered for delivery which is what they are known for. After ordering and I get the confirmation that they have gotten my order, I usually get a phone call saying they do not have a driver for delivery. I work a split shift at my job and I'm in able to leave to get any food so I depend on delivery. This establishment is the only one that delivers to my location and its sad to never be able to get my food I order. And then they have to refund the money which takes 5-7 business days to show back up on my card. I'm very disappointed with this restraunt and think that they should never advertise Freaky Fast delivery when you can never get any food delivered. This place is a joke and ill never order anything else again from them and that includes actually going to the restaurant. Yall have completely lost my business and everyone's business at my place of employment. They are sick and tired of never being able to get their food delivered as well. Update 8/26/22: So the last couple of times have been more consistent at being open Update 4/29/22: Today was the 3rd time they've randomly had the lobby closed when attempting to visit. This time with 2 customers inside at the register. When I pulled on the locked door the person behind the counter said something, like you could hear him, and pointed toward the drive thru I'm assuming. If I was going to use the drive thru I would have gone there first. I typically don't eat in my vehicle and if I did there aren't any trash cans available so then I am supposed to carry the trash in my vehicle while I finish the other stops I am making. Good sandwich and was prepared quickly. It was well put together, even though it was quick it didn't feel or look thrown together. 2 outdoor tables for sitting outside.
