First, I'd like to say that the wait staff did everything possible for our large birthday party gathering (30 including sitting children). That being said, we waited to be seated for at least 30 minutes, although they were forewarned of our 2:00 arrival. We passed around babies, fed the babies their baby foods and bottles, if that tells you anything. Our food took at least 45 mins to arrive. Some party's orders being incorrect had to wait longer. An Everything salad should not take longer than a sirloin steak. I held one baby until his grandfather ate his steak, potato and salad. It took that long for my salad to magically appear as it'd been forgotten.
After everyone finished, that's when the actual utter mayhem began, with everyone waiting 30-45 mins on their ticket and being forced to have their tickets corrected! (giving time for all elementary school kids of our party to dance and play tag around the fireplace) A "manager" attempted to help one couple after their order was not corrected twice. I was offered the excuse that the system and the manner in which they take orders down each side of tables put together can create this kind of mess. Sorry, but people on my personal ticket sat at one unique table at the end to avoid that mess, but the guy next to me was put on my entire table's ticket. So that excuse does not hold water. The system should be able to do tables or have their tickets separated in a manner that it does't confuse the heck out of wait staff. At one point, a very loud wait person used her booming voice to call out the entrees so that people could hear, even though we weren't that loud considering the amount of adults and kids.
The manager should at least comp some of the meals for the attendees and refund that to their charge cards, automatically. I tipped our wait staff person generously, but there were other patrons quite disgruntled and reflected it in their tipping. The wait staff should NOT be penalized, but the system fixed in order to have food prepared in a timely manner, distributed correctly, and not waiting around for their ticket.
At least 4 of our guests were aggravated enough that they considered walking out without paying. They'd even planned to leave a tip for the wait staff, but I knew that would likely go towards the meal and not the staff. I had personally planned to leave by 4PM due to the rain (and that should have been doable under normal circumstances) and carrying a very expensive electric wheel chair in the base of my truck. Also, I had one messed up windshield wiper on the driver side. It took 1 hr and a half to get home due to the delay at the restaurant.
As I said, I do NOT blame the wait staff. They were as kind, polite and helpful as could be, (One even helped us clean up the mess made by a 6mos old little boy with quick, grabby hands). The limited menu, considering what is offered, is good. But for the money and mayhem, I wont' be returning and pretty much all of our party. They have nice rooms for large gatherings, but...
Read moreThis is our preferred location. We come here a lot, however the last 3-4 times my food has always come out wrong.... And I don't even ask for "no this no that add this" it's like there is a different cook every time and they do not know the menu. Last night however was the absolute worst experience we have had. The waitress was very unfriendly and seemed to be in a huge rush. She took our drink orders and took off before we could tell her we wanted an appetizer. When the app came out she set it on the edge of the table and never said a word, we didn't realize it was there until she tossed the bread basket and refilled drinks. Once our food came out we were both almost out of drink, she never offered to refill. I asked for a specific condiment for my fries and she proceeded to educate me that it came on my burger.... Awesome thanks I want something for my fries too, since you didn't ask if we wanted anything for them. She wasn't happy about that but brought me an overflowing cup of my requested condiment, which made a mess when she set it down. She took off so fast my date couldn't ask for what he wanted, so when he did she did nothing to hide her complete irritation. We never saw her again, I at half my food hoping for a drink refill as I was out and chewing my ice just to get something. She brought the check while my date was still eating and never offered to refill his drink. A good 10-15 minutes went by when she came around to see if we were ready to pay and offered to go drinks. We declined and let her know we were a bit upset we couldn't get refills while we were still eating, her excuse was 'it looked like you were done eating' just very unfriendly, not the sort of server you want in an establishment hoping for repeat customers. The sad thing is the manager was roaming around but never spoke a single word to the guests, instead he was cleaning tables. I understand doing that when you are busy and servers are getting behind, but they were not and they had plenty of servers judging by how they hung around chit chatting while ignoring their tables. Also surprised to see they are not distancing guests but putting them back to back without barriers. I mean correct me if I am wrong but covid is still a thing and you should still be maintaining 6 feet. Someone's head to the back of mine isn't exactly 6 feet. Not sure we will be visiting this location any time soon, the franchise owner should probably take a look at how the establishment is...
Read moreAfter a long week of work and recovering from a recent hospital stay, I thought I would treat myself to something different. I am not a big steak person, but I wanted to try something new so I went to Logan's Roadhouse. I thought the waiter was very personable and intuitive regarding my needs. I was impressed. I ordered the 6 oz Top Sirloin special with rice and steamed broccoli. It was a descent meal especially for a person who doesn't eat a lot of steak. The more I ate the less I saw my waiter. Finally, I was done and ready to go but I didn't have a receipt and didn't see my waiter. After about 10 to 15 minutes, I saw him and waved him over. I asked for the receipt. I told me he would be right back with it. From where I was seated, I could see him just out side the kitchen area working on something other than getting my receipt. I waited and watched. I watch and waited for a good 10 minutes. Finally, I got up and approach the kitchen area until I saw someone, a lady, who looked like a manager. I told her I had been waiting for my receipt. She asked who was my server/waiter. I pointed him out and she said she would get the receipt for me. I continue to stand and wait, but she asked me to go back to my table. Another 10 minutes, literally, when another male waiter came over with my printed receipt. I gave him cash as to expedite the transaction. He took my money and I waited and waited for his return. Again, the wait was far too long. He came back with my receipt and my change. As I was preparing to leave a tip for less than perfect service, I noticed I was nearly a dollar short in my change. I counted and recounted -- thinking I had made a mistake. It was clear I didn't get the proper change. I waved the lady manager over and told her. She seem to know without me saying anything that I was short changed. She mentioned something was broken but waiters in my opinion should be able to count. She had the audacity to ask if I wanted my change. Hell, yes! She went off to get the rest of my change. I waited and waited, but this time I left two dollars (why I don't know) and the change. I was frustrated in the service and an evening that was ruin. I am not a fan of Logan's Roadhouse and will share my view of my dislike every chance I get. Worst experience when could have been...
