I've been to MANY Olive Gardens and I can honestly say that the Chattanooga Olive Garden is the absolute worst! Bad Service, Dirty Table, Horrible Atmosphere, and the Billing? I'll get to that in a moment. My family of 4 arrived on a Wednesday Evening not expecting the place to be busy but it was a bit busier that we thought. Not a problem. However, our experience started with the hostess who brought us to our table in a slow funeral march. I laughed later that it felt like we were in Haunted Mansion at Disney. The hostess had the same zero emotion. We sat at our table that had obviously been washed with the same cloth from a week ago. It was filthy and it had that old offensive nasty moldy smell. We ordered our meal the waiter offering pink lemonades which I accepted to discover that they apparently had run out of pink lemonade that evening. Water for me. Then we ordered one soup and two salads. A third salad was requested after the waiter offered a "caesar" salad with no black olives, no onions, and no croutons. Well, the two salads arrived precisely the same: both missing these ingredients. The wife's soup had no liquid: she complaining it was like stew. The food took a while to arrive, but that's okay. We understand how busy restaurants can get and we were not in any real hurry. We did request a few extras: refill on bread sticks, black olives and croutons to add to the salad; and crushed red pepper. We had to ask a couple times to get these items at which time our meal had arrived. The food was good. The cook is the only person holding up the place. Delicious. But... the prices have drastically increased. So be prepared for that. When it came to check out, being a Veteran I requested the standard military discount that I've always received at "most" Olive Gardens with the exception of a few, but was told that this particular branch does NOT honor its Veterans. Funny thing is... just two weeks prior my parents came to town and my wife and I took them to this very same branch and did receive a military discount. I was told later by a server that this branch has never had a military discount... and he had been there for 4 years. I'm not sure what I received the first time, but that's why I choose restaurants... for the military discount. I won't be back. I was also told that NONE of the Olive Gardens offer a military discount. As I said, I've been to only (2) that don't. So... either the waiter was lying or honestly didn't know. Our Bill. On our bill we were charged for a lemonade that we never received and they added a charge for shrimp being added to an alfredo dish which we never ordered and never received. Had my wife not checked the bill or been in a hurry we may have just paid these extra fees. So... check your bill. Or better yet... if you want a true dining experience, that also honors it's veterans, go to Cheddar's. Much...
Read moreThe alfredo sauce my friend ordered was cold. It took over 10 minutes to get water refills, the balsamic vinegar that was for the salad came way after the salad with the actual meal, our original drink orders was taken by a totally different person, the waitress was in to much of a hurry and poured water all over my hand and the table before I could even let go of the glass, and it just keeps getting better.
Besides everything being a total train wreck and the waitress being impatient and rude the manager was just as impatient and rude and looked at me stupid when I asked for my money back. I wanted to pay with cash and card and I handed them to my waitress and she went to walk off and I stopped her and asked if she would like to know what is all mine. She then asked if our checks were separate we explained it and we said yes. She then proceeded to charged my card for what I thought was my full meal. I asked for the manager to get my cash back then since she charged it all to my card anyways just to find out she had actually used the cash first but added other stuff to my check. When I told the manager that waitress wouldn't even let me explain what belong on my check she got huffy went and got my money and gave it back to me. I proceed to ask her what my actual bill was and she got discreetly rude with me trying to tell me that's that what I was charged...I just wanted to know what my food was with tax not what you actually charged me for. Everyone there is in to much of a hurry and super rude.
Servers name was Bethany Z defiantly ask for a different server if...
Read moreI walked in with my grandmother, and sat down at the first table in front of the bar. I faced towards the bar while my grandmother sat in front of me. The waitress was good, and the food was also very good. But while I was facing and talking to my grandmother, one of the workers which was a girl that looked around 19, had red long hair, white, skinny, and had a braid go around her hair. As I said, when I was talking to my grandmother, the worker was kind of behind her, far back. Saw the worker start and look at me. Im pretty sure she thought I looked at her once and got mad. A couple minutes later as I eat, the girl was staring at me. She kept on coming back to that spot (a cashier?) to keep glaring and give me the nastiest looks. I don’t know who this woman is and what she wanted from me, but I could tell she told most of the workers and I had about 4 people keep coming back to look at me. A girl with bangs and a claw clip, eyeliner, white. A man who had a red beard, and red hair, white. And another girl who had a claw clip, not so sure. I was so uncomfortable. I was smiling majority of the time, and talking with a lady beside me. I am a lot younger than these people (13), and I don’t even know why i’m getting targeted? Immature workers. If someone looked at me accidentally, I wouldn't take it this way. Hopefully, not so many people do this. I could see them laughing and pointing at me, and I tried hard not to look. Not sure why they got like this, but luckily I got out of there. This was on Wednesday,...
