Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers — Restaurant in Chesapeake

Our first (and only so far) visit here was for a Jeep event on Halloween. I found everyone to be friendly & helpful and the restaurant clean.

My bacon double cheeseburger was delicious. I don't expect to have a half pound Kobe beef burger at a fast food joint so I'm not sure why others do. They're smashburgers aren't for everyone but I will definitely go back sometime. Our sides (fries for hubby and rings for me) were very hot and fresh. As matter of fact, I would go here & just order onion rings! For me, OR should only be served battered and fast food or not, theirs are yummmmmy! The man enjoyed his patty melt as well. We both walked out of there with full bellies and an appreciation for all things Freddy's.

March 31st We went back to use our complimentary combo coupons we received on Halloween. I got an all beef dog with grilled onions, Monterey & Cheddar cheeses and chili with onion rings and a rootbeer. Hubby decided to try the Jalapeño double cheeseburger with fries and a Coke. He placed our order for takeout and even though they forgot his fries, they were quite apologetic. Ate at a Freddy's for the first time at this location (Feb 26, 2025)! I went to order the spicy chicken sandwich. The cashier asked me if I wanted the sauce on it and explained that the sauce was what made it spicy (I thought it was spicy like the Wendy's Spicy chicken sandwich). Bring that I have a minor allergy to jalapeños, I decided against the sauce. I kept asking questions about what comes with the meal. When the cashier asked if this was the first time we ever ate here before, he rang a bell when I told him that it was my first time ever eating at a Freddy's, and that's why I was asking so many questions! The fries are thin, like shoestring fries, and delicious! (I like thin fries. They're not true shoestring fries Cuz they're not curly). The food took about ten minutes, which isn't bad for a high quality fast food place. You can tell they pride in their food and service. The cashier we had came around to tables while we were eating and asked us if everything was OK. I'd never seen that in a fast food restaurant! I will definitely come here again! I went to Freddy’s at around 8:00p tonight; I walked in with my family and they took my order. I sat at the 2 seater right according from where you order, and I witnessed the staff either touching their hair and then touching food, or touching their face and then touching someone else’s food! Unfortunately my order was wrong; so I went back inside to talk to the manger on duty. The manger was wearing gloves and cleaning equipment. After telling the manger what was wrong she said let me fix this for you. I said sure. She proceeded to wear her gloves that she was cleaning with and started making my ice cream, I then asked her if she was going to change her gloves, she said no. So I said if you’re going to make my ice cream I would prefer you to change your gloves. She gave me a dirty look and took off her gloves, and started making my ice cream without any gloves. I got the ice cream made correctly but I am NOT happy! First off, I’ve worked food service before and I’m telling you if my boss saw me do that I would be fired on the spot! Just thought someone...
