Subway — Restaurant in Chesapeake

My experience was with regards to the Subway Gainsborough Square Location only. On the website Subway.com it had an internet special for the day that said buy 2 footlongs get 1 free so I selected the Gainsborough location for contactless pick up and did an online order. It says the discount for a free footlong with purchase of 2 would show up in the cart. It did not. I paid for all 3 full price. The Drink (Mello Yello) and chip option (Cheetos) selected for two meals was not sold at this store but I was not told until arriving. It was supposed to be a contactless order. I had to come inside the store and the order was not ready although it was ten minutes after the promised time of pick up. I had to fill up my own 3 drinks. The straws and napkins were kept behind the counter out of reach. You had to request them. Two Subs were not toasted as instructed. The Philly sub had barely any meat or anything else in it with the exception of green peppers and bread. No more visits at this location. I will try Volvo in the future. A past visit to this same location, I had a Subway gift card and could not use it towards my meal because the employee was not trained on how to process the customer's gift card. I wish I could say I am disappointed to leave this review after years of my husband picking up sandwhiches for us, but I am DISGUSTED. This is not to say we haven't had issues at all before, but we are all human. Today however, was inexcusable. He went in to grab our order and the lady asked if he was "George". He said "yes" then she handed him our order and we left. We get home and they are some kind of weird meatball sub and not philly cheese steaks. Not the end of the world right?? Well....he goes back in to get the right sandwhiches made and the lady says "Thank you for bringing these back! We thought you stole them." So no, THANK YOU for saving us money by not ordering take out with you anymore. The audacity of you to confirm his name for the order, HAND IT TO HIM, and then accuse him of stealing...

I work in this area so I come to this location often. And due to the lack of healthy fast-food options in the area; I keep returning. However, after this encounter; not anymore. I’m convinced the owner instructs their employees to put the least amount of ingredients on the sandwich as possible. Under no circumstances should I repeatably ask for more veggies on a "veggie" sub, or should I say grilled cheese because that's what it tasted like. $7 for 5" of bread, ONE TOMATO, and a sprinkle of lettuce is unacceptable.
