Detroit Wing Company — Restaurant in Chesterfield Township

We were looking for the best wings around so my kids could try them. They love wings. So we got a large package of them. Picked them up. The boneless chicken wings were a very large size. Big enough you have to cut them in half. NOT knowing the size, we got 6-8 tenders per Person, which was WAYY too much! Probably hood eith 4-6 wings each These are pretty large. More than half were left over!

The noneless wings came tossed in the sauce you pick. We tried all the sauces they were tossed in, the Teryaki, honey BBQ, HONEY CHIPOLTE, & Wiskey BBQ. The Wisky BBQ was probably the best one. We were expecting the teryski to be the best, nut it wasn't very good. All of the sauces were way over sweetened!!!! Too much sugar. I'm a diabetic thst lives sugar too, but this was an overload of sugar gor me! We ended up having them away, so you may want to get thr sauce on the side instead. Would have like a traditional sweet & sour sauce, but they didn't have that. I have had cherry chipolte sauces from BJs brewhouse that are incredible! The chipolte sauce can use something like a cherry flavor too. Those were by far the sweetest. They were all sugar with just a little flavor. The Teryaki I assumed would be the best, but that one had a really weird taste! We may have to try some of the other sauces to increase our rating or get the sauce on the side next time! But when we have to throw out more than half (30 wings) the wings cuz they were too sweet, I can't give a higher eating since I wasted $60!!! if they have any that just aren't sugar bombs. The poutine is awesome, but it just missed the mark. Maybe not enough gravy? Loved seeing that on the menu! I'll get that EVERY TIME but ask for enough...

This review is in regards to the DWC in Chesterfield, MI. My mother in law tried to order a large order of wings/sides for Super Bowl Sunday. She originally tried to order them the Friday prior to the Super Bowl, but the owner told her specifically to call on Superbowl Sunday around 1:00 pm. When she called, she was told that they “weren’t taking large orders today” (why they would refuse large orders on Super bowl Sunday is beyond me and seems like a terrible business decision). She asked to speak to the manager, who greeted her with terrible customer service and a beyond poor attitude. My mother in law told the manager that the owner told her to call today and she responded by saying “well he’s not here today, I am, and I’m making the decisions.” She continued to be rude to my mother in law, who is a local chesterfield resident that suggested DWC to us because we’ve never had it before. Not only did DWC lose an existing customer but they lost potential long time local customers as well. Perhaps with a change in management and business strategy, DWC of Chesterfield can actually offer customer service that it’s local...

Great value if you go from 3-5pm during their 40% off Happy Hour special. Definitely would prefer this place over Buffalo Wild Wings. I plan to go here any time I want to eat some wings. Kinda weird that they charge you for ranch though. I haven't seen that at any wing place before unless it's a charge for extra cups of ranch, but never for the first cup. Still 5 stars.

EDIT: Went here a second time and the Cajun wings tasted like someone accidentally dropped a 1 pound bag of salt in them this time. I got the same flavors as last time (when I gave 5 stars) and this time I cannot even finish my food. They also drowned the Garlic Parm wings in that gooey sauce, much diff level of flavoring than the first time there too. I don't know what happened to this place in between the 2 month gap of my visits. I'll probably give this place another shot a long time from now, but this is gonna take a lot to overcome to get back to even a 4 star, let alone the 5 star I...
