Where do I begin? We had reservations for 6pm. We arrived around 5:55pm and they seated us right away. The atmosphere was pleasant. The waitress came to the table about 10 minutes after we sat down. She was worn out, frustrated, something! She first pulled up a chair at the end of the table and asked what drinks we would like. PULLED UP A CHAIR? That was number 1 on the NO NO LIST. She brought 6 of the 9 drinks in 2 trips to the table and the others were forgotten I guess. She took our food order. She then came back 10 to 15 minutes later and brought my grandsons pasta and drink. She then brought out a small house salad for myself and it was NOT GOOD!!! COME ON you can do better it was iceberg lettuce, finely chopped tomato and 3 small pieces of mushroom barely any dressing so I asked for a cup of salad dressing which by the way never made it to the table. Then we waited and we waited some more. Finally the serving staff brought the food probably 40 to 50 minutes after we had sat down. Hashbrowns on my sons breakfast plate were lets say extra crispy the omelet was ok so nothing was said. Sandwiches and the pizza were awesome. The chicken parmesan tasted good but had a lot of pepper in the tomato sauce ...totally not necessary. The person having this meal is sensitive to pepper so had to remove the sauce as much as possible. The other 2 drinks (a tea and a lemonade) had still not arrived despite the fact we mentioned it twice more by now, she was waiting on others around us but never came back to check our table. My daughter ordered blueberry french toast and by the way a little TOO MUCH BLUEBERRY, it was swimming in it. She ordered a side of bacon and like the tea and lemonade it was MIA. We asked about the bacon and off the waitress went to get the bacon which came out right away like she had sat it down somewhere and remembered that fact! Ahhh the meal is nearly over and here comes the tea and lemonade? Wrong she brought 2 teas instead but nothing was said. I know we should have said something... lots of something to be exact but we were afraid it might drive her over the edge. She brought the tickets but would not give the main one to me she stood and waited for my husband to return to the table. What's up with that? In my opinion the cost of this was WAY too much for the quality of food and service. If interested message me and I will give you the name of...

Had phenomenal Alpine Omelet and Lemon Blueberry pancakes and a wonderful waitress who checked on us, apologized for a slight delay on a very busy day which wasn’t bad and refilled drinks. Also great fun atmosphere. Brisket Benedict was a bust that day with meat very fatty but other 3 people loved their food.
Within the week in visiting from out of town, since we had loved it, we met others there for dinner on Wednesday night at 5:30. BUT we had a totally different experience. The waiter was horrible- took forever to take order, get food ( even a plain salad for two) and he seemed out of it. Even when I finally asked about when our food would be ready he checked and came back and replied to someone else, ignoring who had asked and didn’t fill my water but did others. I ordered the same Alpine Omelet and Lemon Blueberry pancakes since they had been amazing. Omelet was tasty but overdone. Pancakes still pretty good but not quite as good. Maybe shouldn’t have believed breakfast at dinner would be ok. Others food was ok they said, but person who asked for “no mushrooms” still got mushrooms on salad and entree. Think that was waiter.
I would go back but probably for breakfast since it was great. Wednesday dinner had a good amount of customers but not packed. Maybe they didn’t have enough staff? It took us 2 hours to get dinner and it was not us sitting after eating. Enough kitchen staff or not, that waiter was bad, and since no one said thanks or asked about our dinner as we left, I didn’t have chance to tell them. Great atmosphere, but verdict out on food and service a bit. Hope they can...
Read moreMy 1st experience at BGFD was not that great. A co-worker and I just had lunch there. We arrived at 11am and there was already a wait which was fine so we sat at the bar. We 1st ordered our drinks, and I chose a Nitro iced coffee. Once the coffee was in hand I was never asked if I needed cream or sugar. I asked one of the 2 waitresses working the bar area for sugar and she pulled the sugar catty that was not in plain sight out and just looked at me like it was my fault I did not see it hiding. I ordered the CLASSIC BREAKFAST with Scrambled Eggs, Bacon, Hashbrowns, and Pancakes. My co-worker ordered the HUEVOS TOSTADAS SLINGER with over-easy eggs. My whole plate of food was lukewarm like it had been sitting for a bit and not even under a warmer. My co-workers' eggs were completely cooked with absolutely no egg run. He was able to pull the entire yoke from the white and it stayed intact. We let the woman know that delivered our food and she had the eggs remade. The 2nd batch of eggs had the same issue. I wanted to let someone know, but my co-worker told me not to worry about it. The 2 waitresses knew what had occurred and even after we received the new eggs we were never asked if they were better or if everything was good with our order. I was a server/bartender for over 10 years so I understand how a restaurant operates. I had been looking forward to trying BGFD for a while, but do not think I will be back anytime soon. The one thing I can give great reviews on is the decor. They did a great job with the design...
