Our second visit. There is one pizza on the menu posted at the order counter that has pepperoni, the "mushroom, pepperoni and sausage" pizza, for $9.99. I ordered the pepperoni pizza. That's what I received, a pepperoni pizza, no mushrooms or sausage. When asked, the girl at the counter said she assumed I was ordering a 'custom' pizza, because I didn't say "mushroom, pepperoni and sausage" pizza. My mistake. (still $9.99 - Domino's sells a large with 2 toppings for $7.99 - more than 3 times larger than this one). I spoke briefly to the manager. I was told that a) if I had asked for double pepperoni instead of mushrooms or sausage, they would have charged extra, but there was no discount for pepperoni minus mushrooms and sausage., and b) when I asked if she thought their posted menu was a little misleading. Her answer was "yes". I would not be writing this except that the attitudes of both the girl at the counter and the manager were less than pleasant or helpful; more like annoyed that I had the temerity to question their practice; and no, I was polite, not ranting. Perhaps I should have returned the pizza for a replacement, which the lady at the next table did, and she did receive another pizza. The pizza was fine, small but quite good. I'll add this to my tripadvisor account, and no, I won't...
Read moreDo not waste your money going to this restaurant. I went last year in 2023 and food and service much better then. Just to begin I went with my sisters on 12/7/24 - at the chesterfield crushed red - and ordered a gluten free pizza/fire pear salad. I had told the lady in front when I ordered if they have cauliflower crust and she stated yes, and I asked for the 9.99$ special then. When I went to pay for the order the man said I did not order the special - I commented - yes I did, and he said no. So I went ahead and bought my meal for 1 person and it was 25.98$, I asked the cashier why does it cost that much - he kept hitting back keys and said yes it did, i did not hit a tip because I put the tip in the tip jar. So long story short - when the food came out - I took a bite of the pizza, and it was not gluten free, so had to take it back to front, they remade it - it was horrible. I asked for the receipt and noticed they added a 4.00$ tip to my order. This place has really gone down hill, I will never go back again. If I had a true allergy to gluten - I would have another issue to deal with, and by adding a tip to the screen without my permission is ridiculous. They do not have a email to contact them either, makes you wonder about a...
Read moreI'm ashamed to say I've gone past this restaurant many many times and have never gone in because, well, healthy food isn't exactly my vibe. But I went tonight and it was fabulous. Not like eating a giant trough of kale, really tasty food, a lot of selection of salads and pizzas and sandwiches, and a friendly staff especially since I am a first-timer.
Everything is made to order and you can watch it being made so you're going to get fresh food no matter what you ask for. None of the pizza laying around and get slapped on your plate when you show up kind of thing. My salad was really good, a nice sized portion and very fresh ingredients, which you don't always get on a Monday at a restaurant. My companion had a salad and one of their small sandwiches and was also very impressed.
This is definitely a place to visit again. It's a little bit more expensive than say a Panera but not all that much and I think the food is frankly much better, at least the salads are. Crushed Red delivers so there's a very good chance too that they may replace a greasy burger every once in a while.
Thumbs...
