Fin Japanese Cuisine — Restaurant in Chesterfield

First stepping into the place was a really awesome interior. My fiancé and I had Nancy as our waitress which was very sweet upon being seated. We had both ordered cocktails which were pretty good. The ramen here is 10/10. Most places that serve ramen cut you short on protein and noodles in it so I added an additional Tankatsu with my Tum Yum Ramen. But this place had really great portioning on the protein (Even without my Tankatsu addition, plus rest of the protein was in the both so the surface doesn’t look much but you will be filled), broth,vegetables, and noodles. My fiancé also really enjoy her Miso Ramen a lot along with her sushi she got. Nancy noticed my birthday was tomorrow and gave us a free Ice Cream dessert on the house which was really kind of her.

Ordered the octopus salad and tonkotsu shoyu ramen. The salad was not what I expected but tasted very good and tender. The ramen on the other hand… was abysmal. Utter disappointment and unorthodox deviation from what a real tonkotsu or shoyu ramen should be. The broth wasn’t even cloudy! Weak flavor. They used a chopped up, deep fried pork cutlet instead of a few slices of juicy chashu. The noodles were cheap and nasty. The egg was not pickled, but just regularly boiled (heavily overboiled, in fact). And there’s this mass of flavorless greens on the bottom that frankly further ruin the already-ruined flavor. To be honest, I could make better ramen from Walmart cup noodles than the slop they serve here. The service was also lacking, with the server not being attentive to the table nor recognizing terms appropriate for a Japanese establishment. I shall not...

My New Favorite for Japanese Cuisine! The food here is unique, delicious and fresh. Each time we have dined here we have been served by Goi or Sung. They are so hospitable and make dining there a treat. They always make great suggestions and are so gracious and helpful. In fact every staff member seems to be so welcoming. We really enjoy dining here. My husband loves their noodle bowls as well and next time I will definitely get one. Today we enjoyed the TK special which is a gently fried vegan dish. My daughter loves it so much I gave it a try. So delish!! Today I tried their new Lava Roll. Very unique flavors and oh so good!
