I had my first IMO's pizza nearly 20 years ago. Loved it.And every time I was near an IMO's I always made it a point to eat with them. I have bragged about how good the pizza was,and have recommended it to anyone I knew was going to St. Louis to be sure to eat pizza at IMO's. However, the experience my wife and I had July 18th was a disaster. I ordered the meat pizza and asked that the pepperoni be left off 1/2, the toasted ravioli, a salad and the garlic bread, with two medium drinks. Total cost $$45.56. It took 15 minutes to get the first part of our order, the salad, which had only one fork and no way to divide it into two portions, another 15 minutes to get the pizza, and another 5 minutes for the Ravioli and garlic bread. Had to ask for plates and another fork. The only good thing was the ravioli, and the salad. The pizza came with one side pepperoni only, the crust was way over baked, so hard and chewy my wife gave up on it. It was way short on the cheese IMO's is famous for, and I was only able to get it down by swilling my drink to soften it. Also noticed that the front staff were riveted to their phones when they weren't taking an order or giving the customers their order. Only one time did either of them come over to check on us, and then it was to ask if she could take the trash off the table. Didn't ask if we needed anything or if everything was alright. Took a pic of them on their phones. Didn't bother to ask for the manager. And from the other reviews it seems that it wouldn't have done any good. I definitely won't be back. Should have read the reviews before going.

We went to Imo's Pizza for the first time this week, since it is apparently a "St Louis staple." Better yet, we had a coupon! We decided to go to the restaurant to order and then bring the pizza home. The ordering was fine, however after paying we realized the coupon was misleading (see photo). Our interpretation was get two pizzas for the price of one (each is half price). However, this misleading coupon is rather buy one, get one half price. So word to wise and hopefully Imo's figures out how to use proper grammar. While ordering and then waiting, the old man (presumably the manager) was being rude to customers like asking what this man's point was to be talking to him (The man came and wanted to let the manager know that his mom (a longtime customer) had just died 12 hours before and that his father was still going to come to Imo's that night) and harassing his employees. He definitely came across as a sexist old man as he was loudly muttering "that these girls can't do anything." Even though the restaurant was busy with in-store and phone orders since it was supper time. Finally when our pizza was ready, the boxes were smeared with pizza sauce on the bottom and sides, which was pretty pathetic for a renowned pizza place. TL:DR Pizza was fine. Coupons are misleading. Manager is a grumpy old man. Wipe off the pizza boxes.

I have ordered from this location multiple times now. Every time, I ask for the same minor alteration: Please bake my pizza well done. This request is ignored every single time. This time, in addition to selecting the well done option, I even repeated in the special instructions "Please dont forget well done". Yet again, completely ignored. Attached are photos of the NOT-well done pizza top and bottom along with my receipt showing multiple lines of "Please don't forget well done." I understand that customer service is not what it used to be, but how bad has it gotten that your staff just straight up ignores customer order instructions every single time? Not to mention, it arrives lukewarm every single time. For some reason I was recently forced to use this store when ordering with app or online which is the only way to use promo codes. I never had any of these problems at the manchester store.

I placed a carryout order for a medium pizza, two toppings and lite sauce on August 24th around 6:30pm. I received a pizza that had NO sauce and hardly any cheese.

I called the store to kindly ask for a remake and inform them of the error. The manager was extremely DEFENSIVE, COMBATIVE and ARGUMENTATIVE. He insisted that there is no way the pizza was prepared wrong. Mentioned that they NEVER make pizzas without sauce. He said THREE TIMES over the phone that it was made right without seeing the pizza or hearing me out.

Manager said that they don’t take pizzas back. I offered to bring it back and show them. They can just discard it.

Then i was told that there are over 50 pizza in front of me and I would have to wait over 45 minutes. Remake pizzas should always be the next ones out the oven due to the error being on the businesses end. This is a huge inconvenience for the consumer.

It is beyond ridiculous that you have to argue and have words with a manager over THEIR MISTAKE. Manager has yet to apologize for the error, time wait and the inconvenience of me driving to their establishment twice for a itty bitty medium pizza.

Horrible customer service, horrible low location. It is...
