I can not recommend the American Craft restraunt located in the Hyatt Regency Chicago hotel. I ate 3 meals here (as the other hotl restraunt was closed. Meal 1(dinner): a $42 12 ounce NY strip and a $12 Berry blast cocktail. The steak was ordered as medium rare, it was delivered medium well. Char was good, but the need to use steak sauce on a $42 steak is ridiculous. Mashed potatoes were fine but boring and the broccolini was broiled but still tough and crunchy. The "Berry blast" cocktail didn't have the blueberries muddled and tasted only of the tito's vodka used. Meal 2(lunch): $25 Fish and chips - no complaints, the skin left on the northern pike was odd, but crisp so it was fine. The batter was non-traditional, but fine. Just over priced. Meal 3(dinner): $35 1/2 lb of "brisket". The "bbq sauce" tasted like ketchup with a bit of worchestershire sauce mixed in. Sad. The brisket had a decent rub, but was greasy, so much so it looked as though the meat had luster dust brushed on it. The brisket also still had a fat cap... this is a problem for 2 reasons, 1-the excess fat cap should be trimmed before cooking. 2- the remaining fat should be rendered down during smoking keeping the brisket juicy. The result: after 4 slices of brisket you just have an oily/greasy mouth feel as the bbq sauce does nothing to cut the fat. Do not waste your time and money eating here. 4 star restraunt prices, 1 star restraunt food and drinks. The chef should be severly disappointed...

This restaurant is mediocre at best. First, when we sat down we were offered coffee and orange juice, thinking it was complimentary since it was basically already in our cups, we said yes. We had 2 coffees and 2 orange juices that come out to be $16.50 alone for drinks we got sprung on and had no idea. The food was so expensive that we just decided to split a breakfast of chicken and waffles. The waffles were cold and soggy and when talking to a manager she fought with me and said "well did you tell them that your waffle was cold?" Well.. we had to eat them to know they were cold. I only ate half of it. She offered horrible customer service. When telling her about our drinks and food she said she would take off half of the price of the food, but we were mostly concerned with the drinks. She was very rude and we could tell that she didn't care to keep us as customers. For a manager she was awful. She fought with me and my husband and that is never good service. She ended up only taking the drinks off, but we still left hungry and with cold food in our stomachs. Although, Our waiter Carlton was great, nothing that happened was his fault at all. He was very nice and attentive and wanted us...

Decided to eat at this place because we are staying in the hotel and let me just say that it was a big mistake. The place looks super fancy and the menu makes the place seem like a 5 star restaurant. The menu items sound delicious and farm fresh, and their prices are high as well. However, the food was horrible. The farm fresh burger was obviously a frozen patty that makes Mcdonalds look superior. The wings came cold and the kids meal chicken tenders made me feel bad for my children. If that wasn't enough, the waiter forgot my wife's entree and had to ask what she had when he brought the other food. This caused her BLT to come out 15 minutes later and the bacon seemed to be re-used from their breakfast service earlier in the day. In summary, the food was horrible... the service was horrible, and the bill was 100$ for food that was worse than Mcdonalds. I seriously recommend that you do not sit down here, just go somewhere else for the love of god! I hope this review helps... Lastly, I ate about 2 hours ago and now my stomach is hurting and I have...

When we arrived it was pretty quiet. We were seated immediately and over comes Vanessa (The best waitress). We had a great time with her. Before I get into the food let me just say Vanessa made the best Cosmopolitans ever!!! Goodness. One is quite enough. Food was typical hotel food. I would eat it to avoid having to leave the hotel. We ordered the following - Lobster Rolls ( cold lobster) fair. It was my first time and I don't think I like it. -Reubens she liked -Fish and chips she liked. Some handsome man came over to our table and dropped money to cover our drinks. How cool!!!

This restaurant is similar to a higher-quality airport restaurant. I was hungry and sprung for the steak. It was fine, not particularly good or bad, which is a little sad for the price tag (65$? Maybe 70$?). The fries were particularly good, my cocktail was not, but the bartender was very friendly and made up for it! To use my room credit, I took a burger to go, which I did not eat because the texture was incredibly hockey puck-ish. If I had to go back, I would stick to a salad or a BLT, something more simple Iโ€™m sure theyโ€™d knock out of the park.
