I have been to this place twice. The first time I ordered a bagel with veggies and they left off the sprouts. Didn’t say they were out didn’t offer a sub. Came back preserved the same thing. I was under the impression it came with CC because that’s how I got the first one. To my dismay it was wrong. I brought it back and kindly asked was it supposed to come with cc. The lady said yes. Then she took my food after just handling cash without washing her hands. Said oh no it doesn’t come with cc. I asked her to please make it again and I will pay for another. She began yelling at me telling me it doesn’t come that way wrapped the food she and the cook to touched and tried to give it back to me. When I told her that was unsanitary and asked for a new sandwich I would pay for l. She snatched the bag off the counter threw it in the garage and screamed at me in front of customers. No apologies no nothing. Just kept yelling I tried I tried. Not only was this embarrassing it was the worst customer service I’ve ever had. Being a restaurant manager for over 10 years this is ridiculous. She is not the person who should be up front with customer if she has anger issues or cannot handle when a customer is dissatisfied. She then told a lady who asked about tofu they had it and they didn’t. This place...
Read moreThe coffee is excellent and saves me a trip to Starbucks another block or two north, as I head south 3 blocks into the no coffee or food for non-tourist area. It's basically the only thing besides Subway and Mixed Greens, a foofoo salad shop between there and the Merchandize Mart. The donuts are good, and the breakfast always smells fantastic. But I ordered a breakfast sammich, and is was basically an omelette on toast. If they used sausage patties instead of chopped links and asked how to finish the egg, would be so worth the pricy charge. I would just assume to go to the Subway or Rock N Roll McDonald's and get sammich and coffee under $5. It is convenient, and the only mom & pop show in...
Read moreExcellent family owned sandwich shop with tasty reasonably priced food. They're not getting the fifth star only because it is so small and is always packed during lunch time. It can be difficult to find seats sometimes due to so many people.
Being a meat lover, I've strangely fell in love with the savory goodness that is their Black Bean Burger and order it about once a month, with added bacon. Having came her for several years, I've yet to find anything less than delicious in their menu, but really need to try out their breakfast sandwiches. All in all I'm a huge fan of this place, but the internal space needs to be rethought to make room for more customers. Too much...
