As someone from the south, the food was atrocious, moreover dishonest. The brisket was dry, the blackened salmon was bland, the cornbread was doughy and hardly cooked in the middle and the "jumbo" chicken wings were pitifully small. Moreover, the food left at least two of our group running to the bathroom afterward.
The staff was nice although very inattentive, likely due to being busy which I do not blame them for. We had to ask for our check 4 times before we got it and never received the to go box we asked for to take an extra order of the one dish that was actually good, the fried pickles.
Entrees also didn't come with proper sides, came with a half piece of plain loaf bread, and a tiny portion of coleslaw - "think salad dressing container". The sauces and choices for things like salads were weird using sweetened cucumbers, the butter for the cornbread was lemony and kind of spicy, hardly what you'd expect and there was a small pile of sweet pickles as a garnish on some plates.
We were seated in an area in which we were told we would have to be done by a certain time for the live performance to start and made to feel rushed through our dinner as every other table was moved around us. Moreover the music was so loud prior to live music starting that having a conversation was practically impossible. Given that one of our guests has a physical handicap accessing the restrooms was physically impossible for them. They are down a back hall, down two flights of stairs and down another hall and the music in the restrooms is arguably louder than the main dining area.
Moreover the atmosphere was unwelcoming, other patrons of the restaurant and staff were inconsiderate about space as we tried to wait for our table and even as we tried to leave the restaurant.
Overall, it was an unfortunate experience for dining that was overpriced. To say the food was mid at best would be a compliment. We were made to feel inconvenient and the space was unwelcoming. Find any other country bar...

I recently enjoyed a weekend brunch at their Chicago location, and I can confidently say the food was outstanding. From the moment we walked in, the energy was upbeat and welcoming. The rustic-chic decor, complete with neon signs and country music playing in the background, sets the tone for a relaxed yet vibrant meal.
We started with the buttermilk pancakes, which were golden, fluffy, and perfectly cooked—served with real maple syrup and a side of crispy bacon that had just the right amount of smoky crunch. For the main event, I ordered the Chicken & Waffles, and it was a revelation. The chicken was tender, juicy, and expertly seasoned, with a beautifully crispy crust. Paired with a warm, slightly sweet waffle and a drizzle of honey, each bite was a delightful mix of savory and sweet.
My dining companion raved about the brisket hash, loaded with tender smoked brisket, roasted potatoes, bell peppers, onions, and topped with two perfectly poached eggs. The richness of the brisket combined with the runny yolk created a flavor explosion that was both comforting and indulgent.
Service was prompt and friendly throughout our meal, and despite the restaurant being busy, our server checked in just enough to make us feel attended to without being rushed.
