(Huron location). False advertising of hours and menu.

The advertised hours for this business for Saturday state they close at 6:30pm. We arrived at 6pm and tried to order a meatball sub, which is on their posted menu. The employee informed us he would not make that sandwich as he already put the meatballs away. He confirmed they had meatballs and did not run out, but he just wouldn’t take them back out to make the sandwich - during their posted business hours. He also stated they close at 6:20 so they can be out of there by 6:30, so they are not actually open until 6:30.

If the posted menu is not available during business hours, they need to revise their menu.

After this we decided to only proceed with ordering 1 sub, the caprese. We got home and it was absolutely pathetic (see photos).

Our family has frequented this location many, many times and have spent a large sum of money here over the years. We have also recommended L’Appetito to our friends, co-workers, businesses, etc., and we will be informing them of this.

We will no longer be...

This place used to be one of our favorites, but after this last visit, we’ll never be back. The outdated vibes used to feel charming, like a hidden gem with great food and service to make up for the decor. Not anymore. When my mom asked for a meatball sub — something we’ve ordered here before — the guy flat-out refused because he “already put the meatballs away.” Excuse me? You’re a restaurant. Making food is literally the job. Instead of offering a real solution, they slapped together the most pathetic excuse for a caprese sandwich we’ve ever seen — limp basil, sad tomato, and mozzarella that looked like it had been sitting out just as long as those meatballs. And they still charged full price like they were doing us a favor.

Between the rude, couldn’t-care-less attitude, food that felt like punishment, and the depressing, run-down atmosphere, it’s clear this place gave up a long time ago. It’s honestly heartbreaking to see how far it’s fallen. Save yourself the disappointment — even a gas station microwave burrito would be a better meal and a...

Horrible experience at a favorite spot. Went in for an order at 6:00pm on a Saturday. Restaurant closes at 6:30pm. Tried to order a meatball sandwich. Was told the meatballs had been put away for the day so that sandwich was not available. My daughter asked: “Did you mean you are out of meatballs?” She was told that the store had meatballs but they were put away because they were starting to clean up for the day so the crew could leave as soon as possible. Moral of this part of the story is don’t count on the full menu being available up until closing.

Just love places that place convenience for employees above service to customers.

This spot has been a family favorite for some time. No more. While I realize that this may be an outlier bad experience, I am sick of bad customer service that customers are supposed to just endure because it’s hard to find good employees…blah blah blah. Plenty of other options available all...

I usually am quite pleased with this establishment. But they very seriously overlooked something with my sandwiches when I purchased them for my ENTIRE CREW at work and praised their goodness. A small staff of six, I bought 2 spinach aracinis, meatball sandwich, Italiano, and 2 Diavolos with extra Genoa salami and hot giardinera. Some of the meat on the latter sandwiches still had plastic wrap on it and we ended up having it throughout our sandwiches....Bad...and I can't go back until Monday, because they are closed on Sundays......feel bad, but people have to be careful....and this was bad and embarrassing 😢after having told my colleagues how much I praise these sandwiches....

I first went to L'Appetito in 2005 and it has been One of my favorite on the go lunch spots since. Everytime im in the Gold Coast Area I know L'Appetito is near by. So many great options but I love the Turkey Havarti Panini. No lettuce or tomatoes just meat cheese in pressed bread yum!. The tomatoes and lettuce give it more of a toasted sub feel, not a warm crust panini that I want. They have cheeses , gelato, espresso and petite sweets and a whole fridge filled with pre packaged pasta! Such an awesome shop, ENJOY!
