So tonight was my first night trying George's. I've been craving a gyro for 2 weeks. Since I've been hearing about George's lately (Instagram, Chicago's Best most recently) I decided to stop. I got the gyro special and beef-a-roni soup. Couldn't wait to get home to break into it. I gotta say when I took the gyro out of the bag I was disappointed. It didn't look all that big, to be honest. BUT WAIT...... I unwrapped this thing and it doubled in size!!! It's like the ladies that made it were trained by the sushi roller pros. Or like when you get a small fried rice from the Chinese takeout and there's actually 2lbs of rice in that little box. Same thing with this gyro!! It was packed with meat. It was delicious. The beef-a-roni was a little too salty for me, but still tasty. I will definitely be back to try more. Thanks for a new place for me to eat in the neighborhood.

A friend of mine wanted to check our George’s. I have to say the exterior I didn’t know what to expect. The food, I have to say was top notch! I did really enjoy the gyro and fries a special. Was enough food to be full. Easily one of my top gyro spots I have tried in my life time. The service was good too. A very large party was a head of us. Definitely felt like the wait staff really was on there A game! I like how nice everyone was to us. The ambiance, initially I didn’t know what to think. After sitting down it did feel like everyone who was there were regulars. I did like the decor that was on the walls, make the vibe very homey. Overall, I would say anyone who wants to get a good gyro. I would say that’s the go to. You won’t be disappointed.

I am a fan of Chicago's Best, and I saw George's Restaurant featured on an episode. You do not want to know how many times I have driven by this place. When I entered the restaurant, the staff greeted me with a smile. Although "chicken on a pita" was the featured meal, I tried the gyro. The pita had the right amount of char, the thin strips of generously seasoned meat spilled out of the pita, and the tomato and onions were garden fresh. No sauce on the sandwich. I always ask for tzatziki sauce on the side. The fries were good too. George's is so close to home. I cannot believe I drove to 130th for years to buy a gyro. I will be back to try the chicken on a pita.

I live near George's Restaurant and I can tell you with confidence it is by far one of the BEST fast food restaurants to dine in Bridgeport! Where do I start: absolutely every item on their menu is made to order and tastes great. I have yet to be disappointed with anything I've ordered here. The restaurant dining area is superbly kept cleaned as well as the rest room facilities. The menu choices range from breakfast, lunch to dinner choices and let's not forget the Soup of the Day choices which tastes homemade! Their prices are competitively priced just right but the freshness of the food gives you a bang for your buck. For you vegetarians or vegans they have choices for you as well. The dining experience is quite welcoming and they have mounted TVs for us sports fans! Last but certainly not least, let me share the customer service experience - ABSOLUTELY EVERYONE who works at George's has AUTHENTIC, PERSONABLE PROFESSIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE! I know from having dined numerous times that this is a family owned business. From the pictures on the wall of their father/ grandfather would be tremendously proud of the way the ladies carry on his legacy! If you want great food, prepared with love and kindness I highly recommend you stop and patronize George's, once you do, you will be hooked. To the owners and beautiful ladies at George's I , no WE, the community THANK YOU and wish eternal prosperity and wealth for how you serve the Bridgeport community , ALWAYS WITH A SMILE, SUCH COMPASSION, PROFESSIONALISM THAT CAN BE TAUGHT TO OTHERS , YOUR DEDICATION , GENUINE CARE WITH RESPECT....BRAVO .......

They have the best fries and hash browns in Bridgeport. Out of the diner and "greasy spoon" type places I've been to, they're my favorite and when I go to a diner that's not them, I feel myself comparing and ultimately just miss George's.

They're salads are great, the gyros are awesome, and the owner makes her own cucumber/tzatziki sauce which is amazing. I have tried to go to other places and no one has her sauce. And they finally any of their soups are delicious so everyone should try at least one.

Note: Everything for burgers mean: Ketchup, mustard, pickle, tomato, and grilled onions. If you want lettuce and/or Mayo you MUST ask for it as that isn't they're "everything".

Also, EVERYTHING is made to order so if you want well done fries, it's going to take a bit of time, no complaining. This also goes for when you order grilled chicken, it's going to be longer than if you order a hot dog or gyro.

Recommend: Farmsteak on garlic bread w/cheese( I usually get swiss whenever I get cheese)

Gyro special (it comes with fries) or the hawk special (which is a gyro special with a can of soda)

Any salad is great but a Greek salad with grilled chicken is delicious.

Sides and bites I like: Fried pickles Mac and cheese bites Breaded mushrooms A whole pickle

Breakfast is also great, but it's only served until 11. After the lunch rush you can often request, but be warned, it may be a bit of time because breakfast takes up a lot of the grill so they can't do too...

Awesome traditional Greek family owned burger joint that used be in every Chicago neighborhood (a rarity today). It's the kind of place we're you come back a second time and they remember you and what ordered that last time. Lots of table and booth seating as well as counter seats so you can sit and see your food made. Generous portions. The girls work really hard to please and make sure to get your order the way you like it or get it fixed (I'm not a fan of tip jars, but for these girls I'd make the exception; please consider being generous in tipping as they are in providing awesome service). Besides the burger, gyros, Italian beefs, and well a wall for a menu that includes Greek salad, chili and soup of the day, they even have ice cream as well as milk shakes. Looking for the CEO? She's over by the grille snapping out the customer orders for the girls. Phone accepted orders too. Cash and...
