I normally don't write reviews before I've had a chance to try a place but this place didn't even give me a chance to try anything. I've just return back empty handed for the second time after visiting. The first time was a few minutes after opening and the door was wide open but nobody was around at all. I spent several minutes waiting and looking at the menu but there wasn't a single sign of anyone present so I left and went to try a place across the street that I had also wanted to try. A couple months later I was willing to come back and give it a shot. This time I came at around 12:30, peak lunch time. Still walked in to an empty storefront. Door was closed and it doesn't seem like they have any indicators for when people walk in and there's no bells or buzzers to get anyone's attention. I couldn't believe this happened again. I only waited about 2 minutes before I left this time. Makes you wonder how many potential customers have walked out those doors because of this. I'm sorry but I'm not going to give my patronage to a business that does not even try to serve customers walking in the door and I will warn others so that they may choose to avoid such...
Read moreI finally tried Imee’s Kitchen this week. I am so disappointed I did not try this restaurant earlier. The food is incredible. Everything is fresh, so full of delicious flavors and the price is great for the portions. I tried the beef combo. Wonderfully seasoned beef with tasty rice, beets, tabouli and pita. It was so great. Staff was really friendly. They gave a sample of kibee (a very large sample) to take with me. The kibee was AWESOME. It’s a beef dish with grains, spices. Simply excellent flavor . I’ve been craving it ever since. That will be my next order. But now I want to try everything on the menu. If you work in the loop or need to be down there around lunch time, check this place out. You will not be disappointed. I can’t wait to get back there next week. I wish I worked in the Loop more than 2 days a week to plow through the rest of the...
Read moreIf you need catering in Chicago, look no further - Imee's is the way to go.
We used Imee's to cater a work meeting, and it was amazing. From the owner coming in personally to set up, to the detail and care that was put into the setup, to the taste and quality of the food, everyone was thrilled.
The food was delicious - I loved everything I tried. One of my colleagues remarked that the food tasted homemade, nothing like the boring corporate catering we're so used to. Everyone was cleaning their plates and going back for seconds.
Each dish had a card with the ingredients listed, which was helpful not only to those with food allergies/dietary restrictions, but to those that may not be familiar with Lebanese dishes. The owner also hand wrote a thank you card to our business manager - who does that?! Imee's Kitchen does that!
Use them to cater your next event, you will...
