Nando's is a fast food chain that specialises in flame-grilled peri-peri style chicken. Founded in Johannesburg, South Africa in 1987, Nando's operates over 1,200 outlets in 35 countries. Their logo depicts the Rooster of Barcelos, one of the most common symbols of Portugal.

Title: Disappointing Experience

I recently visited Nando's at Roosevelt Collection in Chicago with three friends, and unfortunately, our dining experience was far from pleasant. From the moment we arrived, it was apparent that something was amiss. The manager, Norma, seemed disinterested and displayed a concerning level of rudeness and aggression towards us.

Our first interaction with Norma left us taken aback. She slammed the plates on our table, setting a hostile tone for the evening. When we politely requested some extra dressing, her response was unnecessarily curt, as if accommodating our simple request was a burden. It felt like she disregarded our presence and treated us with a lack of respect.

Furthermore, when we asked for modifications to our orders, Norma adamantly refused to accommodate our preferences. This inflexibility was both frustrating and disappointing, as it undermined our ability to enjoy the meal tailored to our liking. It's disheartening when a restaurant fails to cater to its customers' reasonable requests.

As minority individuals, we couldn't help but feel that our treatment was discriminatory. Norma's demeanor and her dismissive behavior towards us seemed to imply a lack of regard for our patronage. It is essential that all customers, regardless of their background, be treated with fairness, respect, and kindness.

In summary, our experience at Nando's by Roosevelt Collection was marred by the manager's rude and aggressive behavior. We left the restaurant feeling disrespected and discriminated against. It is my hope that Nando's takes this feedback seriously and addresses these issues promptly to ensure that all customers are treated equitably and receive the enjoyable dining experience...

I will start this off by saying I do not really like chicken. My family, however, LOVES chicken. So we ended up at Nando's and my Hope's were not high that I would find something to eat. I was mistaken.

Nando's has to be one of my favorite places to eat right now. Even the chicken. It is juicy and delicious with a hint of kick that it strong enough for me to notice but not so strong that my kids won't eat it. The fries are delicious. The portabella and halloumi wrap (though I get it on the portugese roll) is amazing with the mango lime marinade as well. My favorite dish.

Oh and of course...there's the bottomless sole whip. And it is delicious. And bottomless. And the experience always transports me out of cold Chicago to somewhere warm and sunny for a little while.

They are family friendly, but not offensively so like some places. They have kids menus, crayons, high chairs, and an awesome family bathroom without pulling the changer from the regular bathrooms. (Which, might I add, are very clean and nice. My only bathroom complaint was it was kinda cold in there. ;p)

We always feel welcome and leave happy when we visit Nando's. I highly recommend it. Get yourself a bottle of the perinaise for the road too. It goes great on everything from holiday cracker plates to quesadillas to adding some spice to a sandwich.

Ooh, I wonder how it would be in deviled eggs...mmmm...I bet it is good there too!
