They really have made a huge upgrade in comparison with pre-remodel. The music inside was a little too loud which made it hard to converse. We decided because of that, to sit outside. The back patio is nice with some cornhole. They have small propane fire pits that would be awesome in the winter, but they really do need something to take the edge off of the heat. The inside is spacious, but not with a lot of seating. Maybe they could do some misters or something? They should also try to find a solution to the ton of flies. One flew into one of our drinks. I got a Mexican Mule and it was less than mediocre as it tasted very sweet. My husband got a beer and a blackberry cider, not disappointed. The BBQ burger was delicious and really good basic fries. I got the ahi tuna tacos and wasn’t really impressed. Not everyone likes wasabi, so I was surprised when there was wasabi drizzled all over the plate and tacos. Nothing about the food or drinks wow’ed we had a group of 8 who all ordered food and drinks. Waiter never asked if we wanted more drinks and when 3 of our party needed to leave he brought the check for the rest of the table as well. My friend said “I didn’t know I was only allowed to have one drink”. I will say if you get the pretzel and cheese you will be impressed with the size. It’s massive.

Overall I think La Salles has upgraded, but it’s too pricey for not being...

I was a returning customer, but this last visit ensured that I will not be returning. After adding my name on the wait list, my girlfriend and I were "forgotten" as several other customers who did not have a reservation and were there after us were seated at the rear patio. When I confronted the guy at the counter, he was quick to offer us seating... outside at a table near the entrance to the parking lot. The furthest table away from the establishment. One of many empty tables that were outside since before we arrived. Not a single "I'm sorry sir" or "My bad", just a here take this table and go away. We left angry and disappointed. We are from San Diego and always visited the establishment, but no more. Management would have to do something to ensure that we would want to revisit this place. On another note, if it was not for this happening, we would not have found Kalico Kitchen. The staff was friendly and treated us like family. Not only that, the food was spectacular and made fresh to order. This was the silver lining of this bad experience...

The ONLY reason this place is getting 2 stars is for the service and the ambiance. If this review were based solely on the food, it would deserve 0 stars. I will start with the ambiance- this is a HUGE restaurant so they were able to work out the social distancing quite well. There is a HUGE outdoor patio area so you have the option of eating indoor or outdoor, and I was fortunate to be able to bring along my pup as long as she wasn't running around. Next, the service - our server was so attentive and accommodating. Finally, the food. Ugh, the food. Ordered the salmon dip as an appetizer and that was off to a bad start as it was more mayo than salmon. Needless to say, that was sent back. Then we ordered the cobb salad and that was just a salty mess of chopped deli meats, olives, blue cheese, and egg on romaine lettuce. And finally, as the entree, ordered the jambalaya pasta which was by far the most untraditional (in a bad way) dish ever. La Salles has a lot of potential to become a hot restaurant, but they need to lift their culinary...

Went to a private Christmas event here this month. We waited for about 30 minutes or more for a drink. All the waiters purposely tried to not make eye contact so they could serve whoever they wanted. One of my good friends asked the bartender who was standing right in front of us (also helped 4 other people that came after we did) and told him "Excuse me are you ever going to serve us?". He turned and looked at us and blatantly said "No I'm not." I have no idea what that was about but I did get a picture of him and am posting this on the review. It was the worst cocktail service I've ever seen at any private event that I have ever been to. The food was great. The atmosphere was amazing and everyone else was nice and helpful except for the bartenders. It was an embarrassing display of service I've ever seen. Also I had other people at the bar complain about this same server that they dealt with at other bars and in the past.

FOOD đŸ„˜ AND SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT. MY SON ASKED OUR WAITRESS IF SHE CAN PLEASE PUT ON THE DODGER GAME. SHE WALKED OVER TO THE BARTENDER AND IT LOOKED LIKE THEY WERE GOING BACK AND FORTH. SEEMED LIKE THE BARTENDER DIDN’T WANT TO PUT THE GAME ON. AFTER ABOUT 5 MIN GOING BACK AND FORTH. THE BARTENDER FINALLY PUT THE GAME ON. PROBABLY BECAUSE WERE HISPANIC WANTING TO WATCH A SOUTHERN BASEBALL TEAM IN NORTHERN CALIFORNIA. HE WOULDN’T EVEN LOOK OUR WAY OR ELSE I WOULD OF TOLD HIM SOMETHING. I WOULD GIVE FIVE STARS TO OUR WAITRESSES STEFANIE SHE WAS EXCELLENT . I WOULD FIRE THE BARTENDER FOR BEING PREJUDICE.SAVE YOUR MONEY GO ELSEWHERE.
