Went here with my husband for dinner, started out great! We were attended to and sat very quickly, our drinks were great and the server seemed nice. We ordered an appetizer and our meals and about 10 minutes later our meals came out with no appetizer in sight. No problem, maybe she misheard us, not a big deal. Halfway through our meals our appetizer arrives, the server apologized saying the kitchen was backed up and the appetizer would be comped for our troubles, we thanked her and after she walked away my husband noted that he would give her a generous tip for handling the situation so rationally. We finish our food and picked at our late appetizer before our check arrived which we quickly realized had included the appetizer we were promised would be comped. When we asked the server about it she said she couldn't take it off because we had eaten some of it š so why did you give it to us then? We are more than able to pay for it (which we did because my husband didn't feel like arguing) but why would you say we would not be charged and then charge us WITHOUT MENTIONING IT?? I used to work at a bar, I'm all for not punishing the server for the kitchens mistakes but here's where the server went wrong: she should not have put the appetizer and entrĆ©es in at the same time knowing full well the kitchen was backed up and she should not have promised us a comped appetizer and then given it to us expecting us not to eat any of it. We did tip her because I know its a difficult job, but not nearly what we would have if she had handled this better and not given us an attitude when we mentioned that she made a mistake. I left furious. I still tipped my waiter generously because I am a good person. I came back in a few days later after I thought long and hard about it and talked to the manager Steve and he apologized . He was very polite. I had the receipt but he said he didnt need to see it and he definatley remembered my visit. He invited me to please come in and dine. I assumed he was going to take care of me. I was shocked and dissapointed he didnt give me a discount , offer me a free dessert or comp my meal to be honest after all the money I spend here regularly and to make up for the bad experience. Steve could have handled this differently but he looked busy doing new employee interviews. Customer satisfaction first should be the norm. Life goes on, I can not control others actions only mine. Their new Double Stacked Bacon Cheeseburger is amazing. Juicy all beef patties with tasty bacon served hot and fresh. I really like their twist on street tacos. Yummy. The bartender Cara was so sweet and down to earth. I had a wonderful conversation with her. She made me a wonderful Baileys with fresh coffee and even topped it with whipped cream. So being that i was curious about the manager and if he was aware of his staff being clueless i was wondering the same about himself. So she grabbed the manager Tom who jumped at the opportunity as he put it"i can quote prices to you all night." Anyway once my family and i arrived at this Chicopee location we were greeted by Peter and low and behold Manager Tom. We were seated promptly and escorted with a smile. As we were settling on observing the atmosphere our waitress Kayla came over with an even bigger Hello and smile just as bigš¤ . I was GREATFUL for an waitress whom was so knowledgeable about the menu as well as inquiring about the new special Fantasy Glory which had been placed on the table that day. In the restaurants i have worked in and I still do as a line cook and prep cook we normally have a meeting before shifts to explain the newest items added for the day, week,month. However Kayla jumped at the chance to be a wealth of knowledge. Tom came by and asked how we were doing and it was nice too feel welcomed and important as every customer should feel.
