04/30/2023 Update: Five of us ate here for lunch. $225.72 Just let that sink in. No alcohol drinks were ordered. Five plates of food, two appetizers, 1 tea, 3 lemonades. No desert ordered. $225.72 That's chicken, rice and noodles. $225.72. The green onions in my Mongolian beef, still had the roots on their ends in my dish. Pretty sure that's a choking hazard had I not pushed that to the side. Counting the days until the doors close. Restaurant was maybe 30% occupied on a Sunday afternoon. Every other restaurant in the area had a line of people waiting to get in. You got my last chance business. Never again will I patronize your restaurant.
06/12/2022 Update: Four of us ate here for lunch. All of us ordered the lunch portion of Kung Pao Chicken ($13.50 ea) and all of us left hungry. For myself, I had only 4 pieces of chicken in my bowl, about half of a chicken thigh's worth of chicken meat. Now considering that I can buy close to 9lbs of cooked chicken at Costco for roughly the same price as what I just paid for 4 pieces, I'm not a happy camper. It's chicken for crying out loud, which I can still buy in the store for a buck a pound on sale. Since all four of us were having the same experience with what we ordered, I'm going to go out on a limb here and say this was not a "one off" situation.
Word of advise, if you have to cut corners and chisel your customers portions to the point that they leave hungry, then you don't have a working business model.
There were also about 15 un-bussed tables when we left and way too many employees standing around talking to each other, while the one or two buss boys clearing tables were working at a very slow pace.
This combined with our food experience tells me there is a management problem at this restaurant. I've eaten at P.F. Chang's all over the place and this one is really a disappointment. Something needs to change or I won't be...
Read moreI don't know what I was supposed to expect , but I've always heard there adds on the radio and heard people say great things about PF Changs , gee they even have their food in the frozen section at the supermarket , benefit of the DOUGHT but was disappointed with the atmosphere especially , they had some really loud music playing , I think it was R&B and jazz , but I couldn't hear the person I came with when we tried to talk , the server was OK but I noticed a lot of young people , like fresh out of high school or still in high school , just not what I would expect from a name brand restaurant ... and the food ? it literally tasted like the stuff I've bought at the frozen food section at the supermarket ,bland and no real authentic Chinese flavor. if you want real authentic Chinese food either go to China or go to a restaurant run by a Chinese family , I could name a few here in Chino Hills and they are really awesome , but I was curious about all the hype of PF Changs and the restaurant here in Chino Hills was less than mediocre, kinda like when Panda Express used to be good food and now it became too Americanized,... Would I recommend PF Changs of Chino Hills ? NO ...Try out some of the mom and pop local restaurants here , I've grown up in Chino Hills all my life and remember the good old days when I could hike the hills and all the dairy's and corn fields ... Chino Hills is not what it...
Read moreAsked if there was shellfish or fish sauce in Pad Thai...server had no idea and said "someone will be out to talk to you about it". No one ever came out and we were served this dish never knowing. We just happen to not want to eat products with these ingredients, it is not due to an allergy. The problem is, had we been asking for an allergy reason (and the server never asked or knew), this could have been a major issue. This is not a mom and pop establishment. This is a national chain that should have very strict and clear guidelines when it comes to disclosure of every ingredient in their food. It should be on the menu. The server didn't even know there was egg in the dish! I said "no egg" and she said "there is no egg" in the Pad Thai. Sure enough, both dishes were served with egg AND peanuts, even though we asked for all of the garnishing ingredients on the side. So, after sending back our food we finally got our new orders as the rest in our party were finishing their dinners. There were also mistakes in their orders. Waste of $78 for four people with no alcohol, appetizers or dessert. Waaaay too much for such lousy service and average food and the risk of being served ingredients that you do not want to consume. People with food allergies, religious or other dietary restrictions beware. This chain used to be top notch. Now it is like Panda Express but...
