My family and I, frequent patrons of Silverlake Ramen, were deeply disappointed by our recent visit to the Chino Hills location. Despite our efforts to clean up after our 1yr old, who had a minor food mishap, we were met with unprofessional behavior from the manager. Instead of assistance, we were threatened with refusal of service. It’s a shame that they request their tips upfront because they’re non existent when you need them. This treatment is unacceptable and reflects poorly on the establishment's standards of customer service.
Our experience at Silverlake Ramen in Chino Hills was a significant departure from the quality and service we previously enjoyed. As a result, we have decided not to return. I urge the management to take this feedback seriously and make the necessary changes to ensure that other customers do not have similar experiences.
In replying to your feedback: First of all, my wife and child go there multiple times a week. We are aware of the mess we make, but this is not on purpose. Who is able to stop a 1yr old from throwing things when they want to. I would also like to add that no one else was ever in harms way from any “flying dishes or chopsticks” (even though that’s a gross exaggeration) and we never saw any attempt from service staff to apologize to any other guests. Never has a staff member tried to help clean the mess while eating. Which can cause a serious safety hazard for all parties included.
We became regulars to show we support the Silverlake, we even had family functions in the past at this location but obviously it’s not appreciated. Instead of reprimanding your diners for the things their babies do, this could have been a learning experience. One where the service staff could assist with the mess, instead what happened was no one ever came to help, no one ever came to check on them, and no one ever brought it to our attention until they mentioned they would be willing to refuse service to us.
In addition, for anyone still reading. I’ve discussed this matter with the manager over the phone to try to clear the air. What I learned is that staff members would purposely ignore my wife and baby when they would frequent their establishment, pictures would be taken of the mess, and they would be mislabeled as troublesome diners.
It’s a shame the expectation of privacy when dining is not valued here, especially since they mentioned they had photos of the mess and would share it if needed
We have personally apologize for the mess to service staff, we try our best to tip well in advance in case this happens, and we try our best to clean up after ourselves. What other expectations do you have from your customers?

Read moreI had a really bad experience here. Don't let the line fool you. My thoughts were it must be good if there is a line. WRONG. I understand that with covid it is hard to find worker and it is easter Sunday, but this wasn't the case. They had workers its more like if they want to work. I saw 4 and sometime 5 (the guy at the bar) people in the kitchen and 2 waitress (two ladies) and 2 people at the front area (a tall skinny guy and a lady.) Or just badly managed. Not only we waited 45 mins for the table but when we got there some tables that were clear and cleared yet. The tall guy that worked in the front was watching TV standing near the bar. Not sure what the guy that worked at the bar was doing. He sure wasn't making the drinks. Our poor waitress not only serving our table and assisting other customers, she was making drinks for the customers as well. By the food area pick up area, I saw sometime 4 or 5 bowls of ramen waiting to be served? What I am confused is that I see both waitress puting toppings on the ramen before serving it to the customers. (Maybe they were putting the seaweed in the bowl?) Why didn't the guys in the kitchen put the toppings? They were standing around talking among each other. When I got my ramen my noodles, were thicker than the one my husband received (we ordered the same one); even worst the soup was lukewarm. I didn't say anything or complained because I felt bad for the waitress that was serving us. She was nice and i know she's trying her best and probably over worked. After we were done, remember the tall skinny guy that worked in the front? He actually started working and cleared the tables. He could have done that from the beginning. I honestly think this place is badly managed. Never again I will come back here. I think this place is for people who cannot tell the difference between a good...
Read moreMy niece came down from Kentucky and the family wanted some ramen, from the past we had a great experience here, my husband and i. so we thought we'd bring her. But tonight just wasn't it. We all ordered our food at the door. It Took a while to come out and when it did they brought out the wrong ramen. The manager was actually the one serving and when I told him it was the wrong ramen he sighed and walked away annoyingly. Came out 20 minutes later with another wrong ramen and told him that's not what I ordered and again rolled his eyes and walked away. Came back out with finally the right order but by that time my family had already finished their meal & was ready to go. I just packed mine to go. We Asked for forks 3 different times, they never came out with them. My husband had to go to the counter and get them himself. It was just negative vibes all around. Never received an apology for the inconvenience. They made us all feel like an annoyance. The family did enjoy their food however, I will not be returning back here due to their lack of...
