The serving staff is beyond friendly. Everyone went out of their way to greet my party and even offer well wishes on our way out. Our server was phenomenal and the exact right amount of friendly. My glass never stayed empty for longer than a few minutes before she was offering to refill it for me. Our food arrived quickly after ordering and it was exactly what we asked for. The atmosphere was pleasant. The building isn't large but they made good use of the room they had available. Definitely an American Italian food establishment, but this was still pleasant enough for me to enjoy the setting. As for the food, it is not the worst I have eaten, but definitely not the best. They start you off with a basket of plain bread that has no interest in winning any flavor awards. The small containers of whipped butter they provide make sure not to challenge anyone's tastebuds further than the bread it is meant to be spread on. The garlic knots with mozzarella were exactly as expected, if not a little difficult to separate due to having literal sheets of processed mozzarella melted on top of them. As for the main course, I ordered the Nepoli Sampler, which comes with baked lasagna, Chicken Parmesean, and Sausage Parmesean. The Chicken Parmesean was a thin piece of chicken with more breading than meat and reminded me of the breaded chicken patties I used to get from public schools for lunch. The Sausage Parmesean followed suit by being a single sausage link that was cut in half and then covered by their patented sheet of melted mozzarella. Of course, the lasagna could not offend its compatriots and remained equally as underwhelming. I couldn't tell if it was one of the three thin layers of pasta that had been burned, or if it was the last triplet of mozzarella, but regardless, the food was chewy and bland. I will say I did enjoy the tomato sauce that had been liberally ladled along the top of the trio. All in all a very underwhelming experience for my sense of taste. All that being said, I have eaten from here before and thoroughly enjoyed my dining experience then. I just don't feel this was their...
Read moreThis is a review of the service as well as what to expect if you’re ordering delivery through a delivery app:
Restaurant is alright however when I’m not a customer there and I’m doing deliveries for them through doordash my time is never respected. I’m constantly stuck waiting 10-15 minutes for orders before being told it will still be some time. It seems as though the restaurant doesn’t prepare those orders until they feel like it rather than trying to be timely so the customer receives their food on time.
Edit: after reading the response from the business I wanted to add in that when I arrived at the restaurant they had the ticket printed and in the kitchen. I arrived at 5:50pm and didn’t get the order until 6:30pm. This is not the first time I’ve experienced this happening. The time before this I was picking up an order for calimari and pizza. The calimari was ready before I got there and the pizza was not started. The pizza took about 20 minutes to make and rather than refire the calimari they sent out the one that sat there.
Since the owner asked for a review of the food I will gladly give my review. I dined there about a month and a half ago and ordered multiple apps and entrees. The calimari was rubbery and soggy. The bruschetta was served on pita bread which fell apart once the bruschetta was added to it. The Italian sandwich was lackluster at best and you could grab a better one from the Jersey Mike’s next door. The only enjoyable menu item I ordered was the pizza.
I tried to leave my personal opinion about the food out as I was only trying to give customers a realistic expectation of what to expect when ordering through a delivery app. Given the response received it seems the owner should reach out to Doordash since he’s already clearly identified...
Read moreI am traveling to visit family in Christiansburg for New Years. We decided to get lunch here. I didn't have high expectations. I've always been underwhelmed by the selection of restaurants in this area. I'm not a huge fan of chain restaurants. I prefer places that make their food from scratch. I try to choose family ran places that make real food. My aunt recommended it, saying it was probably the best food in town. I was absolutely blown away by this place. I can't even remember the last time I left a review, but I just had to leave one after going here bc the food was out of this world. I got lobster bisque as an appetizer, which I shared with everyone and we all thought was excellent. They serve homemade bread that we all dipped in the soup. My boyfriend got the calamari appetizer and really enjoyed it. We both got the lobster ravioli as our entree and raved over how delicious it was. The sauce is incredible, super rich and flavorful. The lobster ravioli filling was phenomenal. The food is so well seasoned I didn't even add salt or parmesan. It was perfect as served. My cousin got a cheese steak sandwich that was huge and looked awesome. My brother got spaghetti with meatballs. The meatballs were huge and smelled fantastic. We all cleaned our plates. My boyfriend literally wiped his plate clean with bread just to enjoy every bit of sauce. It was so good I called in a takeout order to take home to NC to share with my mom. The atmosphere is nice, clean, modern Italian decor. The wait staff was very pleasant and accommodating, and earned every bit of a pretty good tip we left. We were all very impressed. I will be visiting this place anytime I eat out in Christiansburg. I...
