I work at one of the local hospitals and a couple of my coworkers and I ordered from this location last night. Two out of the three orders were incorrect. I didn't realize until I was able to sit down and eat about 30 minutes later that my order was wrong, so I called them back. I spoke to Jason, the manager and let him know that it was incorrect. He asked me what was wrong with it and I let him know and he said that they'll send the correct one back out, they would just need the other sandwich back. After I got off the phone,I ended up checking my coworker's sandwich since she didn't have a chance yet to check and her order also ended up being wrong. So, I gave them a call back and Jason had an attitude with me. He made it seem like it was a hassle to fix the orders. He then reiterated that they would need both sandwiches back, which I said was fine, we hadn't even eaten from either one yet. At no point in time did he apologize for the mistakes. When the food arrived, the delivery man said that he threw in complementary pickles for the hassle and apparently the manager thought we were patients that were waiting in the ER, but that's still not an excuse for the service we received. When I finally opened my sandwich my order was STILL wrong. By that point I was so hungry that I just ate it and didn't call back. I have had better experiences ordering from the Jimmy Johns on Calhoun. I don't think I'll order from this...
Read moreApparently "freaky fast" doesn't apply to placing a delivery order over the phone. I called this location last night and asked to place a delivery order to the Marriott on UC's campus - 2 min's away from this particular Jimmy John's location. The employee on the phone apparently doesn't know the neighborhood very well and insisted that I provide an exact address, and asked me to call back. I acquiesced - it is absolutely reasonable to want to provide an exact address to the driver - and called back less than a minute later after I got the exact address. She then placed me on hold for over 10 mins. This was at 7:43 PM, which isn't listed as a particularly busy hour for them here on Google. She did not apologize for the delay, so I chose to take my business elsewhere. I can understand if they were unusually slammed at that hour - this is a location near a large university and it's near finals time, after all - but I can't shrug off the lack of customer service. I expect better from Jimmy John's but maybe I've just been spoiled by other locations over the years.
Fast service is a large part of JJ's appeal. I can get better food if I'm going to be waiting that long to simply...
Read moreOrdered through Doordash, paid extra 2 dollars to get it within 20 minutes because I had to work soon, waited and the food didn't come, called 30 minutes after I ordered and they told me they were ABOUT to START making my food!! I was really hungry so I said ok, I get it places get busy on Friday. Wait another 20 minutes and no one comes so I call again, still hasn't left the store!! They say "driver is about to leave and then he is on his way" (I literally live like a 4 minute drive from the store, mind you) I sit outside so I can receive the order and wait another 30 minutes before calling again only to be told "oh, our driver quit and took ten orders with him, one of which was yours" all while my Doordash app is claiming the order was delivered!!!!! They offered to cancel the order and I agreed, I STILL haven't received my $44 dollar refund days later, and when I called today about it they treated me like I was LYING! What a JOKE, I will never go to this location again, and will make sure everyone I know will avoid it as well, I run a high profile Queen City food review blog and I will be warning my readers to AVOID THIS STORE...
